The error simply means that a texture package; Proxymon.utx in this case; required by a map is missing. As long as the utx is only required by maps, all it means is that you won't be able to play that level (it won't even show up in your maplist).

Saying CS source is poop is very biased and untrue considering CS is still the Most played online multiplayer game around. Plus its only a matter of time until a plethora of mods pop out of the woodwork to fill the gaps. Biased? Of course. But untrue? It's his opinion, and saying it's untrue happen...

Surely you understand why they do it though. Artists have the power to influence people, so of course they are going to try to get people to do (in their opinion) good.

IIRC, the crossbow bolts do actually make a noise as they fly; might be too quiet though, or I might just be wrong ;) Speaking for myself, however, the crossbow is one of my least favourite weapons - I can stand by it because it is well-made, but I did prefer the more technological version from Chao...

Can you open ChaosUT2.ini, and delete the Paths=../System/*.upl and Paths=../ChaosUT2/System/*.upl lines? (That second one might be ChaosUT2/Players, can't remember and can't check.)

Just to let you know, the changelist on the main site was just for the first IR of the patch, and more has happened since then. Not sure if anything has changed about the kick though, or whether anything will for 3.01.

Have you patched your game to 3204 or 3236? If not, download the patch, then delete ChaosUT2.ini and ChaosUT2User.ini.

Try starting it, so that it creates a ChaosUT2.ini. Then open this file, and look for the two Paths= lines that end in /*.upl, and move these above the other Chaos paths.

Have you tried deleting your ChaosUT2/User.ini's?
