Hi, just signed up here and i'm dying to get some ideas into the open.

How about "CHOPPER PROXY'S" if you flip a proxy, turn its face the right way up and put rotors in the little springy gap, Wahey there you go. A proxy that fly's around puts a few gashes into a targets skull and then explodes .

And as for the new ripper thing in the beta pics section, how about
"RAZORBACK"? Or something.

Somebody mentioned secondary fire somewhere in the forum, how about the blade gets locked at the end of the weapon making a sort of close range buzzsaw?

I seem to recall there was a chainsaw in either U4E or Chaos at one point... As for melee, I think the idea that the CUT2 devs have is to develop a dedicated melee system with some weapons made specifically for it. People have brought up the idea of using the new ripper in melee, or using some of the other weapons in melee, like a pistol whip sort of thing, but it looks like right now the current direction they are going in in terms of developing melee is to make it work for the axe and sword only/first.

I think that's a good idea. Get it working really nicely with just one or two basic weapons, and then maybe consider other things that could be done with it. I don't think they can really know what thier melee system will be capable of until they have a smooth, stable version of it to play around with anyway.

there was a chainsaw, but it was part of UT, not a mod. you could use it by a mutator, or one of hte relatively few maps that had one placed in the map

I've always enjoyed a good chainsaw death once in awhile. I sure wouldn't mind having one available.
