I'm working on a mappack for ONP & I would like to use ChaosUT in my maps. The crossbow ( I love that bow ) would be one of the main weapons in my mappack. What I would like to do is make some small changes in the bow default properties. one I want to make a different ammo pickup for it. And I want to change the range of how far the it will shoot. I would like to embed the ChaosUT.u file in my maps so as not to mess up anyones Chaosut that may allready be installed on their pc. I would still require ChaosUT to be downloaded and install as part of my mappack. Of course Chaotic Dreams would get all credit for their work in the making of ChaosUT in my write up on my maps and on my website.
Can anybody gimme a hint if this would work at all? On the one side, Chaos is required for download and for using the ".u"-file, on the other side altering some properties of the crossbow...
As far as I can judge it this will only work without touching the crossbows features... otherwise everybody who jumps into an "alterated crossbow game" with the original Chaos will get some nice error messages...

True but my add on pack will not be set up for co-op. It will be sp only. And the maps will be played under the custom ONP maps. As far as I know I don't think you can start a co-op game when playing maps under the custom ONP maps setting. As long as people know that the maps are sp only there should not be any problems.
If your going to the use the ChaosUT package, will the grapple hook be in there too? That would be very cool and make the map so much more fun (and custom zones to block the hook in some areas). I like playing some SP maps for UT and I don't think there are enough of them.

In order to prevent the hook from attaching to the "sky" and other areas, use the BlockAll actor (placeable in maps) as we set up the hook not to work when it hits the BlockAll.
Ok Np. I was just thinking, a 2ed option would be to export the crossbow from chaos, with your ok. That would make things easer and also not hose up any ones chaos. And make my mappack a lot smaller to download. Of course Chaotic Dreams would get all credit for their work in the making the crossbow.
