I added the ServerPackages lines (as shown in the "info & docs" section) to my UT2003.ini file in the Systems folder and since I did that I get dropped to desktop with an error message whenever I attempt to run a server. The error message is as follows:
"Failed to load \'ChaosUT \': Can\'t find file \'ChaosUT \'
In the manual there was a small typo in the server packages lines that had a space after the chaosut package. Removing that space *should* solve the problem
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
Not sure where this typo rumor started, but let me repeat this, in my own defense,
There is NO 'extra-space' typo in the manual in the server packages. Online version or off.
I was told once back in UT days that sometimes a space is added when people cut and paste stuff like that. Don't ask me why. Talk to a Windows expert. Maybe it's not even true, I dunno.
But check the HTML for them if you wish. No typo. No space.
There may be numerous other errors and typos, and if you see some, feel free to point them out. But this is not one of them.
i had heard that on the rumor mill. It might be a mistake in the umod server packages install line.
Anyways, i just checked the online version and i see two characters after the ChaosUT line... a space and a carraige return. The others only have a carraige return.
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
Its hard to see =) i had to double check and quadruple check my double check. Because the carraige return does show up when highlighting, its hard to see a hanging space
I make Darth Vader look like a teenage punk with a lightsaber.
Make it a whole page big and flashing! And put lots of little arrows pointing to it!
Make one of those cheesy educational films that has the cartoon characters and the evil Mr. Space at the end of the INI file line and show it in classrooms across the country!
Or you could just tattoo it on your butt and post pics around the net.
