...holy...dude, that rocks HARD! Just awesome! :D Yeah, the sword weapon looks awesome but not quite 'bastardy' enough, but I see you said that models are subject to change. :)

Mayhap getting lots of kills with them will earn spree messages? :P

Is proper 3rd person being implemented for melee weapons?
And I don't suppose we could see, aside the chainsaw, a scythe? ;)

the models look sweet, but will melee combat have special moves at all?

most FPS games with melee just use a standard swing animation which is ok, but games like HereticII took melee combat to new heights, by changing the way moves could be done. IE swing the weapon while strafing in a direction did a sideways slash, swinging while running forward did an overhead slash, swinging while crouched did an upward thrust etc...

it opened up a whole new gametype (blading) where only melee weapons were used for dueling 1 on 1. a blocking system was even implimented so that if both parties had a melee weapon, a person could block the attack by facing within a certain arc of the attack. the blocks were dependent upon certain factors, like walking or running, swinging or countering etc...

just a thought to increase the versatility of the mod

lol yep, she does

I'm one of those lucky guys who's wife is into Computer Gaming just like I am.

about 7 years ago I got into computer gaming with games like Doom, Duke Nukem 3d, Heretic, Doom 2, Quake, Quake 2, HereticII, UT, and now UT2003. She started off typically bashing for me playing mindless games and complaining that I spent too much time on the computer. So I made the best/worst decision of my life and told her I'd gladly accept her complaining if she could sit down and give it a shot ( a real shot, not just humoring me) and then tell me it wasn't fun. :D

needless to say, for the next few years instead of telling me I spent too much time on the computer, we ended up arguing over who would get computer time 8O

lucky a couple years ago we were able to get her her own system, and now we both play at our leisure. We've been in several gaming clans together, and she plays most of the same games I do.

however on the servers I don't fear her, she's never gotten big into strategy, she just likes to run around and kill kill kill. so I've always had the advantage there.
