Question about running 2 servers on one box.

HELLo,

I'm having a strange problem running 2 servers on one PC.
Both the servers are running great but the webadmin side is screwy.

one time I can log into the CTF server then the next time around using the same path it tries to log in to the DM server.

there is 2 NIC's in this PC, each server has their own ports mapped

any ideas

I would keep on trying to get help from other UT Server Admins until one of these guys gets a chance to answer the question for you. Can you tell us which version of the server software you're using? From retail disk or the free download? Have you patched it up as far as possible? Are you running any other mods on it in addition to Chaos?

Hey folks! I'm glad to be here. This is my first post here and this guy is a good friend of mine. I too will be running a UT Chaos server but in regular UT since it seems IceHunter already stolen half of the 2003 people. Help him out if you get a chance. He brings a lot to these boards and I expect he'll learn a ton more here. Maybe I will too. Later all!

It's the UT2003 Dedicated Server 2225 Download
running Chaos 1.1 mod

on a decicated PC
OS XP pro (clean up so no BS services are running or extra programs)
AMD XP1700
Nvidia Gforce2 Pro 64mb (just because it was laying around)
512mb PC2100
2 NIC's
Cable modem through a Dlink DI704P router

Well I read the post you sent me to.
I'm not having the same problem....
Both servers retain their setting for Chaos with no problems.

I just can not Admin both servers at the same time.
it's almost as if they are sharing the same ports, but they have been set to different ports.

thats the part that gets me... I must be over looking something

I think your problem is that every server has his own port, but the webadmin interface of both servers use the same port, therefore you try to log in in both webadmins at the same time...

Have you tried to change the webadminport for one of the servers?

And you can log in to the specific webadmin whith IP and the webadmin port:

http://ServerIP:WebAdminPort/

I think Deus is right as that port defaults to 80.

It will be nice to have both running.
The short time I did have them both up last night, the ping rate was great on both servers since the extra nic was added.

I found putting these statements in the run server bat files seems to work great. since the server is running with 2 nic's

-multihome=<ipaddress1> DM's batchfile
-multihome=<ipaddress2> CTF's batchfile
FYI: just make sure you put them in after the admin logon or you wont be able to admin the server
