whats with the cutter blades they seem to lag my computer sooo much, i was playing with some bots and 2 of them ran into a room and started firing those at me, i was like WTF cause all of a sudden i could see crap cause my frame rate went through the floor.
it just seems to be that weapon, is there anyway you could make it less laggy, i can run UT2k3 just fine with high 30's to low 40's frames its just those blades

We try to see if we can duplicate that. Sorry about that.

What system specs are you running bitterman?
I wasn't getting any noticable lag on a P3-800 using a GeForce 2 GTS 32mb video card.

actually I used to get a pretty bad fps drop when there are close to 20 cutter blades , and I run a pretty beefy rig (dual Amd 1.8 , 1gig of ram , and a RAD 7500 64mb) although I havent seen that kind of drop lately ,(then again , I havent been playing much lately due to a nasty virus...)

The cutter lag occurs on my server as well; server side lag, as it lags clients who aren't even in the same part of the map.

Gasman has found a possible cause for this. More details to come....

its seems to happen mostly when playing over our LAN, it does happen in single and online but never as bad as when playing lan

my specs are
p4 1.4
ATI 64mb radeon 9500
with the latest drivers ( i have tried 3 different drivers already and i am now using the latest drivers

the other computer is a
p3 800
128mb Nvidia Geforce 3
using latest drivers but have also tried to use older drivers

both computers are on a 10/100mb network and both have 10/100 3 com cards
and both are having lag when firing / being in same room as the cutter blades
