CUT2E victim counter

Whats up with the CUT2E victim counter?
It shows only 400~ victims when yesterday it was 19000~ victims.
What happened?

MassChaos was in the Chaos IRC room, and fixed 'er right up.

However, he reminded me, that the number there is actually not an accurate number. The thing has been reset a few times, etc.., so our actual hits since the site has been there, would be much, much higher.

But anyway, at least now it's in line with what it showed a few days ago.

Either the victim counter now shows all the hits like R.Flagg {MoO} said it should show or there is a bug because it spiked to 600000~ victims!

600000 is the adjustment for the other resets.

I looked up the number from before the 2nd last reset... it was around 355,000 at some unknown point before the reset... and there was at least 200,000 on the before the last reset. There was at least one more reset that is unaccounted for... so I'd guess our 600,000 estimate is grossly under what it is suppose to be.

I wonder,maybe people came to the site after the victim counter was reset so maybe the real number is 400000 and not 600000 because 200000 of the victims are second comers?
and was'nt it 20,000 victims before the last reset and not 200,000

I don't get what you're trying to say about the 400000... The last count before reset was 355,000... and the other one WAS 200,000... given that both of those are underestimated and one number is missing, 600,000 is a valid estimate even if it is under what it is suppose to be.

Don't forget, that site has been there since we started working on Chaos for Unreal Tournament. Not just for CUT2.

And we've had roughly 24,500 countable hits since releasing PR2 last Sunday night.

I don't think his estimate seems out of line at all. We realize it's an approximation, but that's the best we can do.
