How do i unistall Chaos UT 2 Evolution?

Hi all,

When i select "UnInstall ChaosUT2 Evolution" i have 5 components i can check to unistall this, which are:

DEMutators
Unreal Tournament
Unreal Tournament Bonus Pack
Unreal Tournament Bonus Pack 4
Unreal Tournament Inoxx Pack

Which of these should i check to unistall "Chaos UT 2 Evolution" completely?.

Uninstall CUT2!!!

Noone's ever really wanted to do that before . hmmm.

ChaosUT2 is a mod for UT2003. The list you have is of bonus packs for Unreal Tournament (1999 version). Since the two are different programs, they dont share the same uninstall list (but i think can get confused as to which is supposed to launch)

None of them will uninstall CUT2. You've encountered a bug to do with the UT games. Those packages are not from UT2003, they are from Unreal Tournament - you must have both installed.

I don't know how to get around the problem, sorry. The only way for you to uninstall it is as far as I know is to delete all the files manually.

Thanks for replying first of all.

I don't have the first unreal tournament installed for months now. I've had it installed previously though. I only have unreal tournament 2003 installed currently. This is strange =/.

CUT2E_PR20_FullUMOD.zip and ChaosUT2_MapPack2ut2mod.zip were the only files i've installed from this MOD. When i installed these i only had unreal tournament 2003 installed. And i can't find anything related to the first unreal tournament on my computer. So i really don't know what's the problem.

um you can try going into .... start ---> setting ----> control panel---> add or remove ----> then click unreal tournament 2003 and it'll bring up a box with the names of the stuff you have installed. Look for Chaos ut in that list then click the check box next to it to then click next or whatever to continue. make sure you unistall the map pack first.

btw you should dl thje 2.01 patch,that wont help this prob,but you should get it

No, that'll do the exact same as what he did. It will bring up a list of those UT packs.

The only way I can think of is going into the registry, removing all references to UT, and changing some directory paths to your UT2003 one.

Maybe not.

After reading his post, I checked my own install, and I have the same bug he does when I use the Start button going to Uninstall CUT2. It shows me my Infiltration logo, and UT stuff for to remove.

However, if I go to Add/Remove Programs, I get the correct stuff.

1st time I've seen this happen. Weird. Wonder if it's a certain mod install doing it.

Any chance you have/had Infiltration?

Actually, you're right there. I have UT + two lots of UT2003 installed, and all go to the same UT2003 folder when I use setup.exe. But in Uninstall programs, they access the right game. Useful to know.

As far as ive seen its a UT2003 vs UT99 bug and not having to do with each mod. They probably share a reference somewhere that causes this problem, but i had the same issue when i was trying to do some stuff with UT99 when i had UT2003 installed first. I couldnt access the UT99 stuff at first

Haha, great! Why didn't i think about that. When i indeed go to my Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs and select remove unreal tournament 2003 i get the right list of components to unistall which are:

ChaosUT2 Evolution MapPack2
ChaosUT2 Evolution PR2.0
Unreal Tournament 2003
Unreal Tournament 2003 Bonus Pack

I select the first two and removed without any problems.
