Melee Onslaught?

I know this would just result in more work, which the chaos team have enough of as it is, but this thread gave me an idea... chaos mutant. Mutant is stuck with melee weps + the usual bonuses (invisibility, double damage, etc.), but no decreasing health, and everyone else gets their normal guns. It would be unbalanced, but mutant seems to be that way anyway.... feasible?

Yeah, but Mutant is like that because of the design of the gametype. One against everyone else, while having all the weapons, is quite a challenge on both sides.

Do you mean for it to be a hybrid version of the Mutant gametype, or simply have a character be a chaos mutant in regular gametypes? Because the latter would be extremley unbalanced, while the former might be getting out of hand.

I meant the former... a chaos version of the mutant gametype. I guess the main balance issue would be that most players have ranged weapons, while the mutant can only attack at melee ranges... I guess the fix for this would be to have it like the original ChaosUT or Kakutou, where you can block anything and everything. Which would be too weird. Oh well... still requires some thought.
