Peace guys!

Bruce is here to make the discussion more interresting than it is already!

First, what do you think about the fire, magic and highspeed arrows for
the crossbows in one of my actual topics? I'm sure it's original and good
for "chaos", like jb said!

Second: I'm playing Soldier of Fortune 2 SP Demo now (the game rocks,
tomorrow I expect to get the UK full version :twisted: ) and I picked up
a " Heckler & Koch MSG090A1 Sniper Rifle " , and something surprised
me: it can zoom 20x (!!!) - that's twice I expected and it's very useful for
aiming at great distances (talking about DM-Face II , DM Crane).
And I remember , that I once said , you guys should increase the zoom
and fix the problem with the Chaos Sniper Rifle .
So I suggest you to increase the zoom to the same value or even 25x!!!
And I wouldn't understand why you guys , why you should say "no", since
it's very euphorizing to zoom so far and it should be able to increase the
zoom from 9.0x (CUT v1) to 25.0x (CUT v1.1 . CUT2) in the source code
of the mod, shouldn't it?
And fix the aiming problem with the Sniper2 (it shoots the bullets
1.) lower than normal (too low - I've problems to do headshots)
2.) slower than the UT Sniper Rifle (problems to hit the enemy at very
great distances)
So far it's possible, it would be very pleased to see these problems fixed

Since I play SoF 2, 4 Weapons are in my mind which should be also
available in CUT2: (But don't think I want to destroy CUT theme!!!)

Colt M4 Assault Rifle: This is a very nice looking and powerful weapon,
the new and better version of the classic M16 rifle.
I played some mods in these days and all of them
(U4E,Agent-X 2.0, Atlantis) included this weapon.
I think it's nice look and popularity are the points
why you should develop this weapon for CUT2, too.

MP5: Another popular weapon, used for undercover and
special forces operations. The same aspects like
the M4. This weapon is a perfect replacement for
the UT2003 Minigun.

Double/ Mini UZI, This is a Max Payne style weapon , but still able
to create "chaos", that's what I think, but the last
choice you have...

Pumpgun I think this is an important weapon for CUT2. I'm
thinking about, that this weapon replaces the stan-
dart CAS-12 (the ap and esp CAS versions can be)
but I'm not sure. This weapon is popular,too
(What do you think about replacing the CAS-12 with
this ?) (You should also read my text of the High-
Tech- Pumpgun)

I just saw the newest update at the website. One idea for ChaosUT2, when the weapons are made, make sure you can't see the character's hands holding the weapon. None of the weapons in UT 2003 will have the character's hands showing. IT would look kind of bad because some models don't have hands and the hand will look wrong. This may be a bit hard with the Proxy, but it can be done. Having hands holding the model looks bad as 95% it is the wrong hand it is only one hand and making hands for each model would be impossible. If you guys do post, then can you quote my other posts so I know that my ideas have been seen?

Not using hands would be really difficult. How silly would a 1p view be with swinging a sword/axe/hammer without hands. It would also mean we can't manual reload the crossbow or shotgun. Reloading adds more depth to the gameplay, I don't wanna kick reloading just because hands won't fit the playermodel.

You should see the hand as part of the weapondesign. The playermodel you use is only visible upon dieing.
