How about implementing weapons designed specifically for espionage?

Like a special ammo type for the sniper rifle that, instead of shooting bullets, it shoots a bug that latches on to the enemy target and makes it so you can hear all of his voice messages and read all of his typed team messages. It should have a little blinky light on so that it's not impossible to find, and maybe do 2-3 damage so that the target knows that he has been hit.

Or maybe a surveillance camera system that works like turrets, only they don't shoot, and they are harder to see?

That is a little bit to Splinter Cell ish. And btw it is already inplanted in the normal UT2004. You can do it with the translocator.

hmm,a better spy weapon thats already in the works(its fast,deadly,small)

The claw:proxy AWO is to posess proxies you have lounched,spying and also killin(Face classic snipers...beware)

I like the Teamspy Sniper rifle idea alot.Especially if a visual locator was added in. It would be great in ONS where coordination is Top notch , and good for CTF where knowing the Flag Carrier's Path is an enourmous advantage.
the arcade style of the game could be maintained by having it dissappear when a player dies.

EDIT: You could Expound on this by having additional options available via a semi Gui menu that lets you do things to the player who has been "Tagged" Such as sending all your proxies after that person specifically.or using it as a remote painter option for the Ioncannon. Guided missiles could home instantly onto a Tagged player. An audio blip could be added for position of the enemy ala Alien as well.

I want to add to a teamspy idea and add a "say" nullify ability to the disruptor grenades. Any enemy in the area suddenly cannot talk either out loud or just to his team. With the disruptor and a teamsay sniper, communication could become truly chaotic. Blind, and without the ability to talk with your team, especially when they know your movements, what a fun way to play ONS. :twisted: If it doesn't do much damage and covers only a small area, it would be a useful counter to the teamsay snipe, and a useful aid for the sniper too. If the disruptor could do that, it could make Chaos grenades the perfect ONS support weap if used skillfully. I would like the teamsay to "hide" by spoofing a teammate and add in extra comm crackle too, so it would be noticable, but only if a team is careful. I agree. Kill ability after hit player's death, but deactivate after 2 min. max or a certain percentage of playtime for that match.

That sucks cause I wanted to play....
