Not exactly a new vehicle, but it fits here better than the weapon thread;
A gigantor chargeable ri, err.. CUTTER as a tank gun: shoots a much larger blade that bounces longer, hold fire to charge speed and damage. secondary fires frag blade (?charge to get more fragments?).
Blade should be big enough to headshot two people standing side by side
I think the Goliath's main gun should be replaced with a giant grenade launcher, so it can lob shells over walls and make a little more of a challenge to shoot it. I would also like to have cutter blades on Mantas and replace the scorpion's blades with a sort of rechargable proxy dropper. It would drop batches of six proxies from each side and take about 5 seconds for each batch to fully recharge. I also want laser-guided rockets to replace the missiles on the Raptor, in a sort of swarm like the Leviathan's missile launcher.
The Hellbender's rear turret doesn't seem to effective in my opinion. Way to hard to target things when the Hellbender's bouncing around. Don't exactly know what to replace it with though...

You'll propably never get a kill like that, as you'll never see two players standing next to each other like that. Whenever two guys are that close together without moving they're dead meat, because every one from the opposing team would immediately try to get a double frag with some explosive. So it's very unlikely to happen...

So? Is that any reason to deny one the opportunity? You'll probably never take out a Leviathan on your own, but that only makes it all the more sweet when you do...
Why not mount the giant Cutter on a vehicle, make it a bit larger, and have the gun skip it like a stone... it wouldn't move quite as fast, but it'd sure cause some panic to see it bouncing your way...
How about something like a pickup truck, but larger and with monster suspension, with a rear gunner that shoots 5[ish] grenades in a shotgun pattern, slow reload...
here's one. firestorm: a plane that rains grenades from the air. it depends on your grenade ammo supply. you can do like the pheonix/dragonfly's flight pattern, i.e. a straight line, or you can hover above and unload all of your grenades on them. normal, poison, flame, and disturbers.
Why not have a vehicle with a gun that pushes people away. I mean, like on a carrier, when people are trying to shoot you down, you shoot the push beam and it shoves them across the arena and you can land and let the troops out.
I think the stationary turrets need a shot in the arm. Their lasers should be continuous fire like link secondary weapon and cause lots of momentum like the shock rifle, so as to say get the hell away from what I'm defending. + it would be real good at killing redeemers and incoming avrils that way. Right now they are so pathetic, I laugh at them.
If you want to improve the hellbender's rear turret you just need to give it a higher potential capacitance so that it could continue to charge for a longer period of time until it could make a 400dmg shot. So, allow it to charge for twice as long and give it a sick particle effect. Maybe allow the cascading shock ball explosions to occur more simultaneously, like one giant explosion.
But most importantly I think it'd be nice to have a ground vehicle that is a dedicated vehicle killer with complete vulnerability to infantry attack. A mobile tow (redeemer guided) launcher designed to indirectly destroy incoming vehicles.
i have an idea a battle van it could replace the hellbinder and holds 5 people 1 driver 1 gunner with an oscw http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/ocsw.htm 3 passergers 1 in the passenger seat 2 behind the gunner postion. it will have a spoiler on top red or blue flames depending on the team and the chaos skull on the back of the van door. o ya the van will be black. and maybe some spikes on the front of the van for runing over people and look. speed about that of the hellbinder. i never realy got around to play chaos in ut2k3 but i will get it the day it come out for 2k4 andyways i think this says chaos all over it in my mind.
driver: primary: launches a huge spiked ball at the target and press this again to retract. takes a while to retract due to its weight.
secondary: two low damage bullet turrets. it is disabled when the chain ball is launched.
passengers(2): primary: shoots spears, is long-range but takes twice the time of a railgun reload to reload itself.
secondary: Avril
super gunner: primary: launches a vortex but takes a HELL of a long time to recharge.
secondary: ground grips. required to be pressed in order to activate vortex so that it does not get sucked in by the vortex.
DAMAGE
driver: primary: enough to destroy a hellbender
secondary: low damage, about the strength of a minigun terret.
passenger: primary: about a railgun
secondary: avril damage
super gunner: primary: instant death to all who approach.
secondary: none.
model: something like a hellbender and a leviathan hybrid. chaos can change the model, though.
health: 4000-5000( chaos can change it if too little or too much)
speed: slower than a hellbender but faster than a leviathan.
Fire:A Deathray,1 hit kill,very fast movement,small splash,8 second charge(like the plasma tanks)
Altfire:everything in a small radius around the tank gets drained of health(including allies),and 8/10 of it is given to the tank
Health=550
Replaces:bender
Speed:Benders or Between the bender and goliath, should accelerate like unreal annihilations boar tank
One nifty Idea I had was a Far out vehicle that uses Sound as a weapon.
The BoomBuggy is essentially a very large speaker on the back of an armored dune Buggy. The vehicle drives at a moderate rate of speed , but gains a bit of a speed boost when you fire while driving.
the main weapon of the vehicle is the aforementioned Speaker. Promary fire makes the speaker send out a very powerful Thump of sound that goes out in all directions for a short range. Secondary fire make the speaker send out a weaker , but sustainable directional beam of sound , that favors precision over aim. However , using the sustained beam for too long could blow out the speaker.
Heres where the real kicker lies. The Frequency of the Thumper can be adjusted by use of the mouse wheel. there could even be a nify boombox like visual display for showing you the frequency. The difference in the frequency alters the properties of the sound. the Higher pitched the frequency , the more damage the blast does , and the shriller it sounds. Essentially ripping the armor off of vehicles and shredding players . The lower the frequency , the more kickback (like a subwoofer) the blast has , making it good for Flipping enemy vehicles , and hurling enemy players long distances.
This means that you could use the frequency adjustment ability to make blasts that are very damaging , very powerful , or anywhere in between.
Oh i almost forgot. The BoomBuggy is a two person vehicle. One person uses the Speaker , and the other person Drives AND adjusts the frequency. we could also include the option to use UT2004 and Chaos Music tracks , that players can pick when they enter.
