Yes, we actualy have permission from the guy that made NinjaRope to incorporate his code into Chaos UT, but there are no plans to do so at this time.

no. you could have like a speaker on the CPP that has the proxy voice. and if you have two maybe you could have them taunting each other senselessly. and for the taunt you could have the selected default taunt sound pack but in proxy voices. so like if you kill someone one spurts out" die b!tch!" and the other spurts out" ownage!"

also, have you guys considered replacing the shield gun? you could replace it with like a whip or a rapier or something like an extendable sharp talon. everything but the shield gun, to me, looks absolutely fantastic. the shield gun just seems to suck all the chaos out of chaos UT. just the very sight of it on the weapons bar just makes it seem so lame. so please replace it. even replace it with a sharp stick! I DON'T CARE! replacing the shieldgun will make the weapons a total set since it will have every replacement from the shieldgun to the superweapons.

Technically the melee stuff is our shieldgun replacement, but since the shieldgun, linkgun and avril have some special properties for bot intelligence (link and avril in ONS and vehicle gametypes, shieldgun for shield jumping and other things), its generally a bad idea to remove them.

Heh. Ever since the CPP came around ive been quite fond of the SG. Gotta give it a try man!

Plagelord suggested a gun that could become more powerful as you got more and more kills (like a Marauder from Generals?). Building on that idea, this gun could begin as a type of melee weapon and grows bigger and more powerful and with greater range as you get more kills. It could be some sort of 'vampiric' gun, gaining more ammo as it kills more players (as a melee weapon, it should have infinite ammo). Heck, this could be a replacement for the shieldgun itself. Or a melee weapon you could choose in the beggining of a game.

I know there wont be any big changes between now and June 5 , but i was thinking sometime after that it would be cool to make

A ranged Version of the Shieldgun.
Instead of having a Seperate Shieldgun , We have A Barrel Atttachment that Slides into the End of the Shieldgun , and can be swapped on and off , to toggle between ranged and Melee with the Changeammo Function.
With this Attachment , you would have two Modes of fire . Charge Shot , and Spray Shot. These could be toggled with AWO. Secondary would Remain Shield.

Since the SG has unlimited Ammunition , the Firemodes would be relatively weak , but could be sustained for long periods of time.

The Spray shot would be a hitscan Like the AR , except with Cool green Energy Bullets that can be seen easily , and About half the Spread/Damage of the AR.

The Charge shot would be Exactly as it sounds , A chargable Single Shot that can Deliver a Killing Shot , but requires about a hundred Seconds to get to full. It Gains One Damage point for each second it is Charged. Think of it as a long range version of the Shieldguns Primary Fire.
