What More teasers is that what you wanted? Thats what I am hearing...ok then lets rock this joint (the following are WIP and can/may/could/will change before the PR3.0 release):
WIP of The main menu screen when you start Chaos:

All of thse options have a Chaotic Background as well as tweaks for Chaos, for example the server broswer (what you see when you hit Join Game):

In this pic the Chat takes you to our Chat Room, and the CUT2:Internet will find and display any server runing the Chaos MUT and/or the Chaos Gametypes (Duel, KoTH, ChaosDM, ChaosCTF). Again some have major tweakage while others just have minor tweakage.
WIP of the Mug flame:

WIP of the Mug ICE:

We have changed how the MUG works so the effects have to be redone. The nice thing is that if your PC is runing UT2k4 in low detail mode we have made special "low detail" version of these effects in order to protect your framerate!
Turrets now are better ONS players and can attack enemy power nodes:

They also will not attack that node if its "sheild" is up so they have some "ONS Smarts" to them.
Turrets now have Team Skins (note this skin will change but we will have team skins when turrets used in team games)

So you see we are almost there....

The MUG now no longer really acts like a flamethrower/freezethrower, but more like a flamejet/freezejet weapon. That is, it fires on a much straighter path, as if it was a jet of burning napalm shooting out of the gun.
We made this change since a number of team members did not like the original flamethrower effect we had. All in all, this seems to work better for gameplay purposes and is not quite as spammy.

If you want to use the stuff in the main game, it's as easy as adding some paths to your UT2004.ini.Nemephosis wrote:start chaos? uhoh. Don't tell me you're putting it in its own folder..... I want to use this stuff in the main game
You'll be sure and let us know what files to copy to the main UT2K4 folder and what to summon to do this, right? If you do, then I have no problem with this. :p
Nemephosis,
Shuri is right, a very simple edit to your UT2004.ini and your all set.
We wanted to use the mod menu for our stuff in order to help keep your UT2004 dir less "chaotic"
Meaning we have all of the Chaos files in our dir with the exception of one INT and UCL that for no has to go in your main system dir. Doing it this way gives us a chance to change UT to make chaos feel like a real mod, at the same time exposes the our mutator to Normal UT in order to ensure maximum use for the end user.

In the last pic, what is the player holding? and in all the huds, what the heck is the second weapon (to the right of the Shield gun)?

Well, if that's the case, allow me to join in...jb wrote:What More teasers is that what you wanted? Thats what I am hearing...ok then lets rock this joint (the following are WIP and can/may/could/will change before the PR3.0 release):

These are WIP ingame shots of a model that I hope to finish for Chaos before the deadline strikes:
The red of the playermodel does go well with the red of the napalm ammo!

I am also working on a female model for which Kirin has made a load of additional skins.
lord_kungai:
The real model was finished yesterday evening and will now be implemented into Chaos.
