ChaosDM Medals?

Folks here is something we have been playing around with and should be in PR3.0. Death Match Awards or Medals. What happens in Chaos DM is a set of stats are collected during the game. And at the end the player that leads in his/her category will Get an award. Some are "good" others are "bad". They are only listed at the end of the game. Here is a current WIP screen shot of them:

Here are the current WIP names and meanings:
"Good awards"
Melee Master = Most kills with a melee weapon
Nuke Hog = Most Kills with a super weapon
Buzzkill = Most time you Ended some one else's killing spree
Pain Lord = Most Damage caused by one player
Sharpshooter = Most Head Shots
Grave Digger" = Person that spawned the most tombstones (remember tombstones spawn on mulit-kills and/or sprees)

"Bad awards"
Purple Heart = Person that took the most damage
Proxy Fodder = Person that was killed the most by proxies
Darwin Award = The person that killed Themselves the most

The code is dynamic so it will only list the winners. Thus if you have a tie or a no one has any score for that medal, the code will not list it. The pic above shows this (notice no melee man award for example).

Anyways just something a little fun to play around with....and as time goes on we can add in other things to track

I have liked those ever since i ran in to them the first time, but may I add another "award"? Here it is - Backstabber. This is awarded to the person with the most teamkills. Perhaps an image of one of the daggers made bloody would be appropriate. Definitely not one that would be wanted. and just as a kicker a mut that kicked that person from playing for a round online would be amusing, just to illustrate the point. haha

Nice. As soon as we get a team version we can add something like that!!!

UT2k4 already seems to have TK detection built in. There are even announcer sounds based on it.

Nice stuff. How about:

Tortured soul: Person who took the most damage/got killed the most number of times

Dodger: Peson who got damages/killed the least

hmm,nice things,thoose awards

maybe add
Warper:The one with the highest average ping
Magnet:The one with the most hits made on
Dumper:The one who killed the most enemies by pushing them into uncomfortable surfaces(lava)
Squisher:the one who killed the most enemies by squishing them(jumping on them)

Since you can have awards that are not displayed, why not have Gametype specific awards, for example FLAGMAN for the person who carried the flag the longest in CTF, DEMOLITIONS EXPERT for the person who did the most damage to the nodes and cores for onslaught, COMMANDO for the person who completed the most objectives in Assault, and BALLHOG for the Ball carrier who carried it the longest. Others could be FLYSWATTER for the best monsterkiller for INV, OLDEST MAN ALIVE for the person who had the longest single life for LMS, and GENETIC FREAK for the person who had the longest single life as Mutant. Also i want to see the award Pincushion, for the person hit the most times by a crossbow bolt. I know his is a LONG list, but I just want to see chaos as the #1 near TC gameplay mod out there.

How about weapon-specific awards, like Flak-Monkey and Vehicular Rampage?

I think Sharpshooter should be given to the players with the most accuracy, while players with the most headshots receive the Headhunter award.

Kinda irrelevant to this thread, but will there be über-mega-bosses in DoC? It would be cool to have a "boss-killer" award for the one who kills/ does the most damage to bosses.

I got 2
Burnt Cookie = awared to the player with most fire damage taken.
Ice Balls = awared to the person so took the most cold damage aka mug.

I like these ideas. Keep it up, and we can build a nice little list to pick from after PR.
