Sniper Fatality Idea

When a man is hit with the UT Chaos Sniper Rifle and it's his death shot....

(Either RPB or Standard Ammo depending on what you want to do...)

He should be propelled at a high velocity into the nearest solid surface like in Eraser. (It would work best for body shots...)

I figure it would be a cool way to kill people. (It would also make for a cool looking death cam when you are socked in the chest)

that would require coding galore and detract from gameplay a bit,the cam(think,8 people shooting in the same room,suddenly someone hits another person with the sniper and everyone loses aim,concentration,timing)

but higher veloicity impact sounds nice

Umm, I meant the death cam as in what a victim sees when he dies, not a global cut cinematic.

The Death cam is just that 3rd person shift when you die.

That's all it is....just a nice sounding term for that shift to third person when you die in UT (They seemed to all have a death cam.)


All I was suggesting was that when someone dies via sniper to body or something...they have an awesome looking flyback ala Eraser Railgun.

A film staring Mr. Schwarzenegger, made in the mid 90's (I think). Anyway, what's important is it features an awesome railgun that sends enemies flying to their doom with a display of pyrotechnics. Personally, I'd like to see the railgun from Erasor feature instead of the ERDW.
