CUT2:PR3.0 Bug Report Thread
Found a serious-ish bug... It's totally reproducable.
When double jumping forward, that is forward-forward, and aiming down at a certain angle, and firing the chaos grenade launcher, it ALWAYS explodes right in your face as if you were facing a wall. This is a pretty serious bug as this movement happens pretty often.
[edit : actually, you only need to be moving forward and down and facing down.]

Starting the mod
I installed ChaousUT2 as a zip and it didn't start, because it couldn't find the map nointro.whatever. I'd put it in the normal maps folder and it started normal ut2004. Afterwards I installed it as a umod file and i got a UT2004.exe runtime error. I've got the newest ut2004 patch already installed. What to do?

do NOT do this. You should NEVER rename or alter a game file.TKATK wrote:rename ut2004intro.u2 or sumthin to NoIntro.U2
If the ChaosNoIntro.ut2 file is giving you problems, go into ChaosUT2.ini and change the LocalMap= to NvidiaLogo.ut2 or NoIntro.ut2. It should be right near the top of the file.

I can't recall now if it was the grenade launcher, or another weapon of ours, but the way I had it happening was even if I was just hanging from my grapplin in mid-air, and simply pointed it straight down. The darn thing woujld like hit an invisble wall at my feet or something.
I forget the details, prollly had something to do with our playermodels collision or something? (see...I shouldn't even guess, I'm not qualified for that...guys like Shuri and Jedi1 prolly chuckle at those)
But anyway, due to what I've seen in the past, my guess is that you've got something here, and we'll have to check it out.

Found a sort of bug,not sure if it has been said all ready.
Anyway went to the communty tab and loaded chaos.
picked a map and in the game mode set it to default bots,and no bots spawned??
So i went to the settings(game rules)and picked 6 bots to spawn,tryed again and 6 bots did spawn.so i set the setting back to map default,picked a map 2-4 bots,run it and 6 bots spawned instead.
So the map default bots is kinda not working.
So i did another test,i went back and set the bots to zero,then picked the option map defaults,same again not bots spawned:-(
So by the looks of it this mod only likes bot settings manualy..
Anyway great mod:-)

Yes, it has been reported, but that's Ok. We're still glad to have you posting here on the BB.
As far as that bug goes, my understanding is that it may not be entirely a Chaos thing, so much as something to do with UT2004 and certain mod stuff. (I'll let the experts worry about the details....., if you're like me, just be at peace in knowing it shall soon be fixed
)

Another problem I found while playing the mutator.
Chaos UT key settings don't work well. I can't switch ammo types even after binding a key, and UT2004 doesn't seem to remember my key settings and erases them after I end the program. The AWO and Grapple buttons work though.

OK I have gotten this error with the zipfile, Umod, removing the .INIs EVERYTHING! Oh and yes I have UT patched.
