Mixing mutators
I'm going to be direct here, as I won't hesitate to admit - I only registered to raise this issue. I want to try to use the Strangelove (AlphaOne's 2K4 version) mutator while I have ChaosUT2 active. I figured it would work, especially since ChaosUT2 can rotate between the Redeemer, the Gravity Well, the Ion Painter, the Target Painter, and the Turret Gun.
Obviously, it didn't work out. I knew how UT99 worked, but I never looked close enough to figure it out for 2K4, so I don't know what's quite possible. I saw the suggestion thread, but I really don't have any idea what to suggest. Other than, "Make it so I can use a mutator to replace an individual weapon".

Well.. the trouble time and time again is the epic does not have an official "weapon swapper" that we can cycle into and or override. This means if you run two mutators at the same time that both try to swap out weapons.. they will cause problems.
Think Jb and mel would probably want to have a look before we give any final decisions.. however.

The Chaos mut has a no weapon option which does not load the chaos weapons. You can use this to get all of the other features of Chaos then you run "WROM" type mut where you specify the weapons you want. In this case you would select all of the Chaos ones your wanted and have the "WROM" mut load them for you. The other option is to use the magfragger command to have all of the chaos weapons given to you. For cases like this we can only identify the ones that dont work, and then work with that mod author to provide a solution. The only down side to this is that a new patch from one, the other or both is required to fix it properly.

Weapon Object Replacment Mutator
Its mut that allows U to take weapons (for example) from other muts and add them to your game. Again we would rather have Chaos and Strangelove play nice together, but in a pinch you can use this to avoid the crash and still have a fun game with loading both our weapons and their deem'er

I download the 5.5 verson if his mod. Played it both in normal UT with the Chaos Mut. Also played in in "Chaos" and never once got it to crash. The only bug I saw is taht it placed both a Stragelove Deemer and Vortex in the same spot. I used DM-Plunge. How did you get it to crash?

I never mentioned anything about crashing. The issue I'm seeing, is that the Strangelove never makes it into the game to begin with. I put up Strangelove Oldskool 5.5 and ChaosUT2: Evolution, and when I go to a Redeemer location, it's still the Redeemer, or any of the other weapons ChaosUT2 cycles through. I'll try it with Plunge and see what happens..
Edit: No luck. The only way for me to get both the Strangelove and ChaosUT2 weapons, is to put them in with WoRM.
EditEdit: Strange... If I start it as ChaosUT2, instead of running it as a mutator in UT2K4, the Strangelove makes it in. It's the mutator that blocks out the Strangelove, apparently.
