What if you had some sort of weapon that you could actually strap onto your arm, like a Predator wristblade or his hand-held razor disc?
However there would be some serious modelling hurdles to overcome, but it would look effing cool to run round having the weapons of the Skaarj or Predator . . .
Jesus it's been a long time since I've posted. I think I need a new video card, but I'll talk on that later
I was the created.
I crushed them in hatred.
I created, but not life.
I created death, destruction.
I thirst for the blood of my Enemy.
The silent, Ancient Enemy.
We can think about what to add for the next bigger version....
Something with two blades on it might be pretty cool to weild (like in one of the linked images or like Darth Maul's saber). The point is to add what is needed and not just another "sword"...
I know the've been said but lets just list em again and a few more
BO - The Big Cool Stick
Spear - Nice long range pointy bit does lots more damage than tha wood bit.
Ninjato
DaiKatana
Claws
Elbow Sword
Foot Spikes (some style of martial arts - would really love this)
Heheheh, i was thinkin' last night about a pretty funny idea.
Have all the same weapons, but when you select it, there be a 'Humiliation' Checkbox.
Basically, you have the same moves, just your weapon is just plain rediculous. Of course, they would do like... half Damage.
Example:
Bastard sword -> Ugly Stick
Mace -> Giant rattle
Daggers -> Fork + Knife
Katana -> Old man's Cane
Warhammer -> Piko Hammer (Commonly seen in anime, it squeaks when you hit something with it)
Axe -> Shepards crook
Templar -> Wooden sword
Double axe -> Giant spatula
When someone's killed by one of these joke weapons, a message appears to everyone in bold letters that said victem is a loser/newbie/etc. and their next 2 respawns funny stuff happens.
Like... If your killed with the rattle, everytime the victem is hit, s/he makes a baby crying noise. Or The shepards crook, the person can only jump to move and each time s/he jumps they Bleat.
How about a lance? No side attacks whatsoever, but deals nice amounts of damage if you get a running start. Or a halberd. Nice long range and damage but the length between the shaft and the blade creates a no hit zone and if a dagger wielder gets inbetween you and your blade you're ***ed unless you run away.
Maybe have an option that turns all the weapons into futuristic counterparts.
