For the benefit of all (I hope), esp Jb and the coders, this is a partial attempt at the suggestion of cleaning up Bug Report thread and starting over.

Now, some issues already reported in 1st thread (maybe a few from BETA testers section slipped in as well) and status of those:


Weapon Loop - ( improved in 3.01)

Bot Roster/Default bots - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Players not always able to spawn in 4way or LMS Duel - ( should be fixed in 3.01 )

Duel 'spectator' issues - ( should be fixed in 3.01 )

Ded. server launched from GUI not adding mod switch - ( fixed in 3.01 )

"OUT" instead of wins on Duel scoreboard - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Fallback texture for turret-cam HUD - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Clients on listen server sometimes stuck in 3rd person - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Frozen-to-death players falling thru floor - ( should be fixed in 3.01 )

bOnlyShowOfficial(maps)=False to the DefUser.ini - ( that fix added to 3.01 )

Incorrect Claw2 firing sounds for Proxy mode - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Chaos and UT2k4RPG (sorry if I got that name wrong) issues - ( should be fixed in 3.01 )

Dead players still with poison effects 3rd person - ( fixed in 3.01 )

'Flesh' sounds w/striking turrets with melee - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Second death weapon not spawning if you were using daggers and died in Duel - ( fixed in 3.01 )

Now some things mentioned here and there, but not yet addressed, or at least that I know of anyway. These will have to be double-checked by our beta-testers, and reports given.

NOTE: some of these MAY NOT actually be real, and/or may not be Chaos bugs. This is here just to let you know what has already been reported, and we will be looking into all of them.

Double configs

Switching to Rocket Launcher after speed boost used

Chaos model(s) standing up in vehicle after taking damage

Not getting alt ammo for dropped Chaos multi-ammo weapons

Taunt menu missing stuff in Duel

Taking control of spyproxies while submerged in water

Proper credit for turret kills in all instances (game types, mut or not, kami or proxy or 'deemer whatever)

MUG/flame 'after-death' kills registering correctly

Min players setting in Duel- if I set it to 8, do I get 8?

Frozen players grappling and kicking

Disappearing flags in CCTF - ( perhaps still with us in 3.01 )

Spawning with melee and/or SG instead of BestWeapon - ( perhaps still with us in 3.01 )

Scrolling 'message boards' like one in Duel-Immortal giving incorrect messages in Best 2/3 mode

End of Match 'delay' issues in Duel - ( perhaps still with us in 3.01 )

Bots not firing MUG in Chaos Arena

Reminder: IF you are using the Chaos mutator and not seeing weapons on your server, add the server packages. (I or someone will edit this and add them in here)

Reminder: IF you installed the Epic patch, After installing Chaos..., then delete your .ini files from the ChaosUT2\System folder, and reinstall Chaos.

What about the bug where your melee weapon switches to the bastard sword in duel.

Can you give us more background about this? Sometimes it takes a few moments for your players weapon choice to make it to the server..in these cases if its "late" the sever gives you the bastard sword and then on your NEXT spawn you will have the right weapon....is that what you ment?

Theres also some weird snaffu's with the charging crossbow in both modes of fire.

Sometimes, I believe if you release it before it's fully charged in the Windlass mode, it causes some kinda weird bug where if you load up another one and start crankin', it'll cause like a weird delay.

I'm not sure how to describe it, but many atimes I've had bolts just fly off when I wasn't pressing any of the fireing buttons, othertimes when I switch to the crossbow, suddenly multiple arrows fly from it like I had just loaded them up!

I'm unsure what exactly causes this, but use the crossbow for awhile exclusivly in both fireing modes and I'm pretty sure you'll get the bug (It happens quite frequently for me)

Sometimes when players die, a square of light grayish color appears on a patch of ground near the spot they got killed. I've only tried this offline, but the main weapons that were used in killing the bots that made this happen were the CUTTER and turrets. There may be other weapons that cause this, but I haven't tried all of them yet. The map I see this a lot on is CTF Magma.

i have the same and its a prob with my graphix card,most oftenly happens when blood stripes something(like wep)

This is a repost of some small bugs I found playing offline that got buried in the other thread:

"I don't know if this has been reported or not, but if you go into a Duel game and go to the taunt menu, there's a bunch of blanks taking up keys 1-8

After that all the normal taunts show up.

Weird.

Also, in the controls config, you have "change stance" listed on the wrong button. You currently have "Change Ammo/Stance" but the change stance button is the "Advanced Weapons Option" button. This should probably be changed to make things less confusing."

Either button works fine to change stance.

The Arena mutator does not work well with Chaos weapons. Whenever I try, all the weapon pickups disappear. It works with regular UT2k4 weapons, but not Chaos. I run out of ammo really quickly, so all I have to fight with is the grapple hook. :(

We have a new "arena" created to be uses with Chaos weapons to avoid this type of issue :)

Are my runtime errors unique to me? I posted the problem in the runtime errors thread. Basically, I got runtime errors that would not let me start UT, then I got runtime errors after a reinstall that crashed UT while playing on a non-chaotic server. No runtime errors before installing CUT today.
