Yo Guys

Whats am i doing wrong, i have been out of ut server admining foir a few months now and am trying to get chaos 2004 running on the dedicated server 3236

heres my batch file

Sorry for the large post but its doing my nut in trying to get it to work

i wont to run it as a MOD preferably but anythign will do to get it running lol

I could be doing something wrong but I never got a custom ini to work either. When you start it with the -mod option it seems to always use the ChaoUT2.ini in the chaos\system folder. Copy your ini over to that and give it a try. Take off the -ini= option since it doesn't seem to make a difference anyway. Good luck.

yea I wounder if thats a feature with the mod swtich or is it some limiation wiht our stuff? Does it work for other mods that use the mod switch?

i have removed the -ini from the command line, so my batchfile thats being ran from c:\ut2004\system looks like this

just to be shure can you play a normal chaos game on this box? Trying to see if you can play chaos on it tells us that its installed correctly which is on thing we need to be sure of. The bat file looks good. Hmmm

You may need to start over from scratch. I had a similar problem. What I did to fix it might be the long way but it worked. Delete the ut2004.ini file in your system folder. Then delete the ChaosUT2.ini in the chaos\system folder. Start the server without the chaos mod and it will make a new ut2004.ini. Then restart the server with the chaos mod and it will make a new ChaosUT2.ini file. Edit the ChaosUT2.ini to taste and see what happens. When you do this it takes all the settings in the ut2004.ini and puts them in the ChaosUT2.ini along with the chaos specific settings. It solved some really strange problems I was having.

i cant play chaos on the server as its a dedicated server version

if i remove th -MOD switch and just load the mutator then the server loads fine :S

It looks like its missing the Engine.GameEngine section of your ini file (whether ChaosUT2.ini or another ini you were using).

looks to b ok once i rebuilt the ini with all the chaos entries in it, still runnning as a mutator at the moment but will work on the mod thing.

Just played Duel - lol it was mental, cool as fook good work guys :)
