was the replacing=bot problems for shield or link...
if for link

then i agree that there needs to be some replacement,the best choice ofcouse would be something like Painkillers noammo wep for nightmares,primary-spinblades or sumthin,secondary-throw it,primary+secondary:throw it whilst its spinning

Egyptians:kukri,hand camel?

Jugs:thin metal plate,primary:slash,secondary:shield(bullet weapons deflect,other non energy weps do 20% less dmg

costum:erm,nothing

i know i didnt list all races

Egyptians didn't have kukris, the Nepalese(sp?) did. A khopesh would be better for them.

Or you could just reduce the shield gun's attack ability and strengthen the shield, while lowering its coverage. So you'd be able to block a lot more attacks with the shield gun, but blocking itself wouldn't be as easy. You could also make the shield a different colour and add a cool disruption effect to make it 'chaotic'.

I just got a CHAOTIC idea...

MichealM (I think that was his name) said something about using magic? How about a spell areana?

Spell arena 1: Players have no weapon or maybe one melee weapon. They can speak into their mikes to cast a spell. Crazy Examples: Avada Kedavra kills somebody instantly, but the spell is slow moving, Expelliarmus moves much faster but only makes a player 'throw' his weapon away. You can change the words, etc.

Spell arena 2: there are 4 special 'rune keys'. pressing these in various orders will make you cast different spells. Eg. 1-3-4-2 will shoot a scorpion's projectile. You can decide the combinations.

For both of these, the words/combinations are secret except for a few basic spells.

Oh yeah, the spells can have different effects. Eg. poison, burn, whiteout, slow, paralysis, etc. that is already there in CUT.

You'll have to figure out your own names for spells. The Chaos team doesn't like copying stuff from other people.

Here's something I thought up:

In all of the non-duel Chaos Gametypes, replace the various melee weapons with an energy-based blade-thing that can take the form of any of the current melee weapons, and some new ones. To change weapon, push the AWO key, and to change stance, push the Change Stance/Ammo key. Blocking would transform the weapon into a shield in front of the player that you can hold, like the Shield gun.

Or, you can create a new system for this weapon that instead of changing stance, it changes the effective range of the weapon. Long range would make the weapon only effective at long ranges, doing little or no damage to close ranged opponents. Short range would have devastating close range attacks, the opposite, and Medium range does more damage, well, in the middle.
