Novice asking for help...

Post by Mick »

I've messed around on U-paint quite a few times since I got the game, but I can't find a way of making different colours for red team/blue team. (shrug) Any one know?

You need to create different skins for normal, blue and red. When (in UEd) your skin is called myskin red and blue need to be called myskin_0 and myskin_1. After that unreal will use your teamskins automatically.

I don't use UPaint, but Photoshop instead, so my knowledge on it is limited.
UPaint should allow you to save your textures as .tga files. Do that first.

Next is importing. In UEd open up the testures browser and import your textures via the file menu. Make sure to create a new package for your files in the import dialog or you might mess up your UT2004. After importing, give your textures the proper DXT compression (RGBA files use to much memory). After that save your files as a new package. That's it.
