on the contrary. HL2 has a large mod community waiting for it. and it will also offer Team fortress. which is DEFINATELY different from CS.

Yes, but it'll be easy to change that with a mod according to id.

ok.................what the hell, why would ID refuse to make it more then 4 players then say its easy to change!? They are hell bent on pissing me off! =P

Either way, yeah i heard that awhile ago so i guess doom 3's multiplayer i kosher with me, but half life 2's still isnt, if someone is going to be able to slaughter by throwing dish washers and what not at me with the gravity gun itll be gay, though im sure more thought will be put into it.

Half life sucks:All the hype is about the grav gun,any new game with havok can do that,HL1 weapons were boring,HL1 maps were boring,HL1 and CS were boring,,,,so i guess the same will most likely apply to HL2

Because they didn't want to create a large amount of maps that are big enough for more players. Takes too much time. And the community is going to do those anyways...

And they needed to speed up since they wasted to much time developing Doom 3.

I think everybody has completely missed the point with Doom 3's MP.
They weren't going for your typical "Put as many people in a level room as possible and let them run around like gun-toting chickens with their heads cut off"
id went a completely different direction, Look at how they've implimented their engine. I'm guessing their MP will be a much more personal and skill based "Use your brains to fry the other guys before they fry you" game.

I for one like that id has taken a chance and done something unique. The Game industry needs more of that.

Now if only I could get a PC that would run Doom 3

I agree with Demonhunter but I won't care about MP on D3. I'll be getting D3 for the SP, MP will to go UT2k4 and possibly halflife2. Sporx, if you were killed in real life by dishes, I'm sure you would say something other that "that's gay".

Again, where you have your openion is fine, but to be blunt We will not put up with bashing of other mods whether they are for UT, Quake, Or for mary kate and ashley's big adventure. We are not about that at all. Please refrain from this in the future. Thank you in advance. ;)

i think the amount of realism could prove interesting gameplay wise for doom 3, using shadows and stuff to your advantage, it may be the first time someone can effectivly hide in shadow or see someones shadow around a corner.

Nope, the first game where you could use shadows is Splintercell.
