Well, I personally Hate the cheap shots that are caused by some of the engine limitations such as the weapon multi-hits, 180 degree swing range, and just lag in general, Nothing like that one lucky non-headshot to take 75 or even 100 health away and make the game boring to play. This mod and gametype is a melee fighting game, and I think the real Idea in mind was to match skills, not lucky one-hits. Head shots, for all weapons except for the single axe are ok since it does hold some value, but a weak half of a backswing that takes 100 health in one shot is the best way to get me off of a server. Yes, some people like the instagib style of play, but you'll notice the really skilled ones on the servers are those that enjoy the actual battle and strategy skills. For me its not about winning, thats just the bonus, I like a great battle.. and until they allow you to set the damage for each stance separately, (maybe ill make a mut for that) then the damage reducer makes my server the "skill" server where you must fight for your right... to party! (lol).
And I think the players like it there, even if they dont like the reduced damage, you can see how much better the battles are between players. It indirectly helps them to get better, thus helping us to have more competition

, plus it doesnt scare the newbs away so easily, and we definitely need as many players an we can get for this mod, both duel and Gun gametypes
