Relics are coming. The relics and effects are currently still early WIP stuff, so no pics of those were posted yet. But they are coming.

What's the diff. between low and medium shadows?

And here's a bit of possible good news; Jb said in IRC tonight that it looks like we may be able to have animated relics (edit: you know, the pickups themselves). That would be cool.

yup halprin...i dont think they are
animated textures sound nice,would like to have a skull flash on damage rune

Low only uses one light source and a smaller texture for the shadow. Medium uses two and a bigger texture file. However shadows are hard for graphics cards to handle. So the higher the detail you go, the slower it could get on your hardware. Due to this we probably wont have a high setting. However if there is enough demain, it would be easy to add a high setting (as its already in the system, just not activated).

Are the real-time shadows based on that tech demo that was news a few weeks ago (i don't remember the author)
