In-Game: Who are you?

Post by Rythmix »

I see almost none of the players online in games as I do here, at least according to their names. I mean I play with Tuna, Phantasma, Kaboodles_The_Assassin, Trel, and even meatloaf sometimes, but I never see people like Chaoskirina, be_gone, Nathjan, lord_Kungai, or any of the devs playing, but they are so active on this forum making sprays and inserting ideas for future releases. Are you guys there playing with different names or where are ya!?

Well I check the CUT2 servers sometimes, no one is ever on anymore. That is the reason I don't play, you guys don't, plus only 1 freaken server shows now. I have a file with atleast 5+. If the CUT2 server admins would put the server on the master list or where ever the CUT2 list comes from that would be freaken great.

Yes, nothing draws a crowd like a crowd. And many folks don't like to be first on a server. It's an old story. But yeah, naturally we'd love to have more folks playing online.

But also, just on a related note: Epics master server is down yet again, so if you are looking for Chaos servers while that is down, you aren't gonna find them. Try getting IP numbers and typing htem in directly.

[Chaos]neolith when on the CUT server, neolith|CL when playing on the Chaoslords server and neolith in almost every other game.

But sadly I don't find the time to play very often. :(

Alot of the time our installs are not compatable because of development files. Thats the main reason you dont see me on servers nightly. Instead im stuck playn the newist version against bots. Development is a lonely existance. :( LOL

Hmm, I guess I should aim more at the target in saying, Yes Chaos Gametypes are fantastic, but truly the only Gametype I see played is Duel. So whenever I mention "Playing Chaos" I'm indirectly referring to the most popular gametype at the moment : "Playing Duel".

That being said, There are always at least 5-15 Duel players when Im online throughout the day, yet I see very few of their names here. There is usually 4-5 Duel servers up at a time, two are WarDragons, one is mine, and one is the 107+ server, who I also see no one posting from that clan except Fizzy when he releases a map. My server and the wardragon servers are full much of the time. I check the Servers on ASE and see people playing all day from about 8:30 am till 1am the next morning, so unless there are that many people in here from Europe playing for that 7.5 hour time span then I dont recognize many of you.

Also the entire General's Clan seems to be absent and they have a team of about 10 people.

Just wondering if those people dont know about this forum because its off-named from the mod (i.e. www.chaosut.com would be my first attempt) or if they just dont post. But the General's forums are crawling with posts from those players So I have to assume they may not know these forums (i've found a few in-game that do not)

My Server info is in my Signature now

Well, wild guessing is an odd way to find what you're looking for on the net though. If you/they look in any normal source of information, such as the readme file or the manual for example, or your favorite gaming sites or even Google, we're easy to find.

Anyway, fact is we have many folks who seem to enjoy the mod, but have no desire to post here. I often will get emails from folks like that. Just as I enjoy other mods sometimes, and never post on their forums. And there are some who just don't care for "foruming" at all. And still others who tend to find one or two forums to call home, and leave it at that.

Guess the answer is many things.
