Chaos Vehicle Invasion: Best game ever?

Have any of you played Vehicle Invasion with the Chaos mutator? If so, what do you think? Personally I think its the best gametype to play Chaos with. The combination of turrets, grapples, vortexes, etc. with vehicles and hordes of monsters to fight is just endlessly fun, especially with lots of people. I love tossing a vortex into a vehicle spawn and watching the flying mantas smack monsters that are getting pulled in, or ditching a car when confronted by a horde of skaarj and then ducking as my car is flung at me by a crazed monster. The balance is also great as warlords have no trouble destroying even a leviathan when they attack in large numbers.

Anyway, if you haven't tried it, I recommend it! It's good offline or online (personally I prefer to play it at LAN parties).

Played it, it's awesome, but even better with UTRPG. The Satore Monster Pack is cool as well, I haven't tried it with VInvasion, but it'd be cool to go one on one, queen vs leviathan.

I remember those 1 hour rounds of invasion (1 hour per map) that we used to have occasionally in UT2003 on the public server heheh.

Warlords can make short work of a levi if they attack en masse (which they do at the higher levels).

Of course, for VInv, its best to use customized monster waves, or at least start the game at wave 6 or 7. Pupae and razorflies are kinda stupid when you have vehicles driving around. I like to create custom monster waves that are effective against vehicles. The smallest monster I use are kralls, and thats only because they are fun to run over (much more fun than the bugs). Skaarj are deadly against anything smaller than a goliath, and warlords can make short work of the larger vehicles, but have trouble catching the smaller, faster ones. Comboing Skarrj with Warlords with a high monster max makes for a very difficult wave.

Havent played with the Satore pack yet. Maybe I should try out some of these things? I've heard UTRPG is good with Invasion.

Hell yeah it is.
The only problem is that if you're using the lates satore pack, the monster summon artifect tends to summon nali rabbits if you're a lower level.

warrabbits anyone?

well i was playing with satore, and found out you can make monsters really big. Imagine giant rabbits. Too bad they still cant hurt anyone.

the nali cows look really ugly when theyre huge tho... thats what the 'rabbits' are called... heck they look so ugly that they start to get scary, partly in a way that makes you think your computer is getting rendering problems, but also partly because they just look so wierd cuz theyre meant to be displayed in probably less than 20 pixels...
