I'm sure the weapons will be very cool looking with the power of UT 2003. Anyway, for the sword, it should have more blood skins and a slightly quicker attack speed, while the damage is ok as it is. I think you should automatic start with the sword (with a option to start with it without the CUT2 mod like in UT) and not find it in the place of the Bio Rifle. A new starting weapon, one to replace the Assault Rifle were be cool. I think the crossbow's allows should move faster in the air, because it is hard to hit someone with it. The allows should also be able to pick up off the ground and could stay until someone picks it up. The Proxy should be a bit more powerful and the longer you hold the button, the more the character will throw them out. The CAS12 should have smaller size rounds for non-normal rounds and the ammo pickup should not be so high. The Utility Gun seems fine, but it's kind of hard to hit someone with the fire balls (damage is ok now in CUT 1.1) Not sure how the Lightning Gun will be made into a CUT2 version of it (if that happens at all). I know I said some of the weapon balance things in the other thread, but I think it would be easy to put them in because they are not finished yet (The game has not been out for that long). I know they were the old weapons and new ones might be added in. The weapons should also change faster (some CUT weapons took longer to change to then the UT weapons) and some ammo types be more balanced (Explosion allows were too powerful). I know, I'm kind of heavy on weapon balance, but I hated it how in other games the person with the best weapon owned the game and everyone was going after that weapon or how starting weapons were underpowered and not as balanced as the other weapons, meaning that you were want to use it again after getting another weapon. The hook should be able to stay on movers, because in UT, it floats in mid-air if it grab onto a mover. I would love to be able to hang on a moving object that moves around the level (Cable car or other items like that) and shoot at people. It will be harder for the people running around to hit you, but it will also be harder for you to aim, even harder if you don't have explosion weapons.

BTW, I hope that is not a thread like this already and I never played UT 2003 because it won't work on my computer. I sorry :cry: if this sounds like exactly the same things I said in the other thread. The above also has to do with my opinion, not sure what other people would say.

Hehe, if you only knew! Starting with a blade has always been my preference. And so, my comrades were kind enough to make the SwordMelee mut available, which worked just fine. Perhpas we'll do same thing this time around. With that mut you can have it as a startup weapon for botmatches, and it's up to the server admin whether or not you can have it that way online.

There is discussion about being able to retrieve your arrows after you shoot them. Time will tell how this works out. As far as how fast they move, well, all of that is likely to change from the UT version. We'll simply have to get it in the game, and then we beta testers will see how it goes.
The Proxy should be a bit more powerful and the longer you hold the button, the more the character will throw them out.
We may not see a return of the hand-thrown proxy. But it is unlikely the proxy itself will be made more powerful, at least as far as the damage pts when they hit you go. But...., many other really cool ideas have been tossed around for these little guys, they are going to be fun.

The plan, as of today, is to leave it how it is, and it will rotate with 2 Chaos weapons. The Chaos Sniper Rifle, and another, all new weapon. Which I'm not going to mention yet. This one will be introduced on web site sometime soon. (least I don't think we've mentioned it anywhere yet)

I just saw the update on CUT2 and it sounds like it will be a lot better then CUT. I wonder how the hook will work with Karma (that is the right name right?). The return of the Chaos Sniper Rifle :) and KOTH :) ! I really must get a new PC for Xmas now, to run UT 2003 and by that time, a lot more work would have been done, maybe even a Beta Version to play :) .

It sounds like the fans of UT 2003 don't like the Assault Rifle that much. One cool thing that could be fun in CUT2 is the return of the Double Enforcers :) or even Chaos Double Enforcers :lol: ! It would be even cooler if you always have two of them (like some mods did for UT), even when you re/spawn or even better if you could see other people holding two of them. Two Pistols + Alt Fire + very cool 8) !

I think I heard somewhere someone on the CUT2 team plans to change the voice of the Announcer, as a lot of fans don't like that voice (I heard it in one of the UT2K3 movies :( ). Is this true?

Keep up the good work and hopefully someday I'll get a new PC, UT 2003 and download CUT2 and the mod might even be in a G.O.T.Y. edition of UT 2003, just like in UT!! After seeing the POTW, I want to get UT2K3 even more now. I guess I'll keep coming up with ideas and saying my opinion on this, but I'm off to play now.

Actualy, Yes the idea has been kicked around for replacing that used car salesmen they have for an announcer. At current vote, it looks like it will either be a Female with a sultry sound or a female with a Wicked sound. I initialized the idea, and it will prolly be my wife's voice. That is if i can get her to do it for my " silly little games". HAHAHAHA

LoQ... I dont want to know no more :wink: ... later... once the sounds are in... I will try to judge by the tone of the voice what kind of "games" you two played to make them the way they are... so look out, that no false impresions arise :wink:

New idea (I saw the update on the website), if the crossbow is going to make a return, there could be a InstaGib version of it, just like the shock rifle! I wonder how it would work out, an InstaGib version of it :) .

BTW, has anything new (besides respawn protection) been added into CUT2?

Lots of new things are being done, but we would just like to "leak them out" on the Chaos page one or two at a time. That way we keep dedicated Chaos fans, as yourself, coming back wanting more... :lol:
