i got this same thing but I don't know how to regenerate the file. and I have a completely different patch 3270 is there anyway instead of reinstalling over it an puttin Chaosut2 in an then patching again?????

ChaosUser.ini,ChaosUT2004.ini or something like that,it will reapear after that and it should work

Can you try to install the latest UT2k4 patch :

(Init: Build label: UT2004 Build UT2004_Patch_[2004-07-27_14.28])

Also remove your current ut2004.ini

If you dont have chaosut2.ini or chaosut2user.ini files thats fine. Can you try this and see if you get the same crash? Sorry for your trouble.

where exactly do I start the game from what file? because I can't find any file an if it's in game then I still don't have it.......I'm rlly confused on this one.

those ini files are only created when the chaos starts. If you dont have them its not a bid deal. Did you download the UMOD or ZIP version? The error you have with a missing map sounds like something did not get installed correctly. Again sorry for your troubles
