That is one wierd shaped mouse
I recently bought a five button wireless mouse but can't get the extra buttons to work properly with UT 2004. They just change the direction I'm looking to another one, seemingly at random (which is really annoying if you catch one of the buttons and end up facing backwards). When I go into the input bit of the options, it thinks I'm using the middle mouse button. I tried changing the controls in the user ini, and it worked, but the buttons were still changing my view and doing what I'd set them to.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Reality is that part of imagination we all agree on.
yes this is an easy fix, at least it was for me. its your 3rd party mouse application most likely, like the one that comes with logitech or inland and sits in your system task bar. You probably have the 2 extra buttons set to pageup pagedown or something thru that program and its trying to do that command at the same time as ut2004 is reading mouse 4 and mouse 5 trying to do that command. UT didnt recognize mouse 4 and mouse 5, but UT2004 does. So for me, I need to enable my third-party mouse application for UT and I set them to Pgup/Pgdn, and for UT2004, i close that mouse driver application and let Ut2004 recognize my buttons as mouse 4 and mouse 5.Mick wrote:That is one wierd shaped mouse![]()

I know that If i leave my mouse application running while i play ut2004, i get that quick backwards facing thing too, very annoying cuz its my grapple button and i end up aiming up and it makes me grapple down lol.
