The download folder stops responding...

ok, I was a HUGE Chaos fan, but I can't play the version for UT2004... I download it, but if I try to interact with the file, it stops responding. (ie; extract, run, or copy/move the file)

Did you download the Umod file or the Zip?

It sounds like the zip. Zips could either get corrupted or otherwise evilized during the download process. You could download it again. That *might solve the problem.

my guess is corroupt DL,had the same happen with a few other mod's
