I just don't like the skin it's an ugly wihte metal, like sheet metal. and any weapon made outa that woulf fall apart anyway. And on top of that the weapon is way to uber, the thing I liked about Chaos before the MUG was how ballanced it all was. The MUG just takes that nice ballance and makes it go down the dumpster.

I like the idea but I think it would work better with a new model, and a liquid like Ice/Fire that has a short range.
about the uber effect:If you would have read a bit above,you would see that shadowstar may remake the effect for the better,making it more like liquid...

and i dont understand what people have against white metal....
i actually think the model aint too bad,maybe a couple of small details should be added to the shooting end of it but all in all its a quite nice model/skin

I admit that the current effect doesn't fit the way the end of the gun looks. The gun looks like it should shoot liquid, which is one of the many reasons I have decided to make the proposed revamp to the effects.

Note that not just the visuals will change. The damage and behavior of the "projectile" will change as well, so we could be looking at a bit of rebalancing.

If you wanted to completely mimic napalm, the projectiles would float on a liquid's surface, all while burning away.

IIRC we talked about that, but the code didn't allow us to do it. And as CUT isn't a realism mod we dropped that somewhere along the road.

Hey Loqtus, I just thought of the funniest idea for melee weapons.

Why not add joke weapons like Soul Calibur 2 did and add a funny sound effect behind each swing. Like there can be a broom or a tennis racket. Or better yet....a proxy pimp cane that makes a random proxy taunt when you swing it.

I'm pretty sure that last one might have some issues thanks to spammers but it sounds funny enough on paper. What do you personally think about a joke weapon or two?

Don't be so sure about that Neo. I think I have a way for it to work. The premise is that the entire effect is actually a trail of the invisible projectile. Since grenades can be made to float, so can any projectile, including our invisible projectile. If the particles are attached to that, the mug fire should appear to float on the water.

I would like to see a staff, only you hold it in the middle, not on the ends like a spear, kinda like a double lightsaber, but it don't do that much damage since it's made of only wood...

I assume you never been in actually combat or watched people fight with staffs? They hurt like hell but your not going to get a headshot or a believeable one unless the swings have a insane arc to them.
