Case in point, they HURT like hell, but they don't actually do that much ddamage. Unless you're really strong, you're not going to be able to cut someone in half with one...

Of course the knob on the end of the PPC (Proxy Pimp Cane) is a live proxy. And therefore liable to detonate if it gets bored - ie, you have to seek out the enemy to keep your weapon happy

Personaly, Im not opposed to a gag weapon. there have been some great ideas thrown about. Trout, cardboard tube, and so on. My personal fav is a Rubber Chaicken.

Gen Sun, have you ever been smacked on the knuckels with a ruler? Have you ever heard of a child being spanked with a hair brush? those are really small blunt objects that hurt really bad. A dowel rod ( about 1/4 of an inch thick) hurts really bad too. So, a true Staff style Bo would do alot of damage. No you wont cut someone in 1/2 with it but if you dont think even the smallest person can use them to inflict alot of damage then you are sadly mistaken. In fantasy storys why do you think the wizard always uses a staff for his weapon? It's Light and doesnt take much strength to wield.

That Cain actualy sounds really funny. WHACK! " How'd you like that? Want another?" WHACK " Get sum!!" WHACK "I will crush you"

1)I concur with Shadowstar, the mug needs a more 'bushy' effect. the flame should be shorter and wider.

2)[modest tone] I have a fifth degree black belt in Joshinmon-vadiryu karate and have done quite some Ai-ki-jit-su [/modest tone]. The bo is very powerful and when wielded by a Tournament warrior, can cut people in half.

3)Proxy pimp cane? Nahhh... how about an umbrella ? Primary fire: jab, secondary fire: unfold.

Wait... He didn't want a "bushy" flamethrower. He wanted it to be more liquid, like a sort of napalm thrower, with splashes and stuff.

The Umbrella of Death thing sounds cool though.

I like staves. I made a cool staff for a mod I'm desigining for Rune. It's the only weapon you can have weilded while casting spells in my mod, and it has some decent attacks. It doesn't do as much damage as the other weapons in the game, but its the fastest long-ranged melee weapon, and has some decent knockback and stun effects. Plus, it's naturally made more powerful by the fact that it doesn't prevent you from using magic, and it doesn't block mana recharging...

Ah, but this has nothing to do with Chaos. Still, a staff in Chaos might not be a bad idea.

Damage is relative. Yes, a blunt object hurts less than a sharp on... Take my word for it. It hurts a LOT. I know... But not AS MUCh. Relatievely.

In reality, if you get hit by any of the chaos melee weapons, you're dead. (or almost dead in the case of daggers). If you get hit by a staff, you won't be. Though unconcious and or in extreme pain is possible. So say a staff does 1/4 the damage of a battle axe. since battle axes do 20+ dmg reguarly, staffs could do 5+ dmg. Too much to ask for?

I have the answer to the staff issue......Its simple we fuse the proxy Pimp Cane with the Staff thus making it the "Proxy Pimp Staff" aka "Staff Of Beatings"

Now here is my idea of what it would look like, with would be a long black rod with a blade on each end. Now if anyone here has played warcraft 3 frozen throne then you'd know we could have a proxy symbol/logo on the blades in the same matter of the blades Illdan had in Warcraft 3 frozen throne.

Just because the staff has blades doesn't mean it'll be cheap or have a BS headshot glitch. But I do see the possible issue of it being as good a offensive weapon as it would be a defensive weapon. Some swings would needed have 2 hits coming from one end of the staff to the other, there is just no avoiding that so I see where there is a chance that player cannot be hit and staffs would indeed be a bad idea....

So instead of a staff how about a pole arm with a blade at the end. All it'll need is the range of the Templar and damage based on what part of the pole arm connects with the body. If a pole arm comes to pass in the world of Chaos it'll have to do the most damage from far away, makes it interesting to fight against and use doesn't it?

Well thats my idea for a staff/pole arm guys =^.^=

I agree with the pimp cane and Phant's ideas about the staff, but please, no blade. That would kill the whole less dmg idea....

Instead of a blade. Ass a proxy head... XD

that would hurt realism Sun, unless the proxy head had a helmet that was shaped like a blade. I would like a headshot to look believeable. An as for weapon sound effects they can be of the proxy jumping or something without words. Would be nice if you could make the staff/cane laugh when you slay a opponent....

Just another Phantasma thought.
