I'm new to this forum, and to start things off, I'd like to give props to the Chaos team for making outstanding mods. :D

Now for the body of this post. Ever since playing choasUT all the way up to ChaosUT2 (and playing various other shooter games as well), I have been thinking about this one idea that might be a fun thing to play. Here goes... (This is just for fun so don't take it seriously, but if you do.... feel free to take it into consideration)

Title: Unreal Evolution

What it is: Weapons/Physics/GamePlay/Model mods.

Weapons: to the already outstanding chaos weapons, comes a few more.

Chaos Enforcer: Making it's return to the unreal tournament franchise is the enforcer pistol. Unlike it's previous model, the chaos enforcer uses bullets built from a special alloy allowing it to pierce the strongest body armor or shields. Finding a second enforcer will allow you to dual wield these destructive weapons. Secondary function allows you to empty 30 bullets rapidly. Since these weapons are so powerful, the user is limited to 120 bullets.

ShotGun: Very powerful at close ranges. The Shotgun is so powerful, it even makes the user fly a few feet back. Secondary fire allows you to use the hilt of the gun to hurt your foes (Since the chaos team did a great job with the melee weapons, I'm confident that they can do a great job with this). Ammo accumalation is limited to 30 shells

Bee Launcher: Launch a cage of bees at a target. When the cage breaks, the bees will constantly attack your enemy until either the bees die or the target dies. Secondary fire allows you to release the bees from the cage without launching it, ammunition will still deplete. Ammo accumalation is limited to 5 cages/30 bees. Each Launch depletes a cage and 6 bees. If you use the secondary function, you will not deplete a cage.

Chaos BioRifle: like it's previous model, the CBR has the same two functions, but with a bigger suprise. If you create a big pile of goo (by shooting at a pile of Bio Ammunition), the goop will become very big, it will react with the enviroment and create a giant goo monster that will attack your foes.

EM Pulse Rifle: The standard military rifle from the planet Cortex of the Cerebra solar system. The Pulse Rifle has been fine tuned to make it's way into the Tournament. The Pulse Rifle sports two functions. The Primary function is an energy based rapid fire mode with a similar firing rate to the Link Gun. The second function however arms the Pulse Rifle with a proximity triggered, electro magnetic mine. Once the EM mine is triggered, the explosion is strong enough to halt the firing of any weapon for a few seconds. The explosion only does a small amount of damage, but it will inhibit the target in order for the user to either run away or finish the job. There is no way to disarm the mine once it is armmed. When it is armmed, the gun must be thrown away. Secondary function arms the mine, after that you can use the [throw weapon] key to throw it away. It will explode if anyone comes near it to try and pick it up. If the gun is held while it is armmed for too long, the gun will explode in the users face, damaging him/her severly.

Energy Katar (melee): a type of energy beam sword that extends from the fore arm of the user. Basically an energy based wrist spike. Since this weapon is so powerful, the user is limited to using 1 Energy Katar. Dual Katars would simply create a killing machine out of someone. Secondary function allows you to block non-exploding projectiles. Dodging forward while pressing the attack button at the same time will execute a thrust attack which will instantly kill someone who has below 60 health.

Physics/Gameplay

MadSkillz: a modification that introduces a new variety of movements into the game. New movements include:

3 step wall run: to perform this move; While facing the wall: double tap and hold the forward key. You will run up the wall for 3 seconds and jump (backflip) automatically. While sidways of the wall: Double tap to the side and hold it, you will do the same thing but side ways (If you press forward while doing so, You will run forward along the wall).

Backflip Kick: While jumping, if you know your going to crash into an enemy, you can dodge backwards at the same time you come into contact with the target. Doing so will cause you to dodge off the enemy, injuring that target while providing you with space. (this also pushes the target back). This will also cause the target to drop it's current weapon.

Reversal: If your opponent has a stronger weapon than you. You can even the odds by jumping behind him/her. To do this, simply run up to your enemy and press the (Use) key. This will make you place one hand onto your opponent's shoulder and jump over the opponent. This places you infront of his back, ideal for putting bullets into other player's backs.

Models: some new models for the chaos mod.

Team - Legend: Making his debute in the next unreal tournament is the legendary warrior, Xan. Thats not all folks, he's even brought his personal squad to even the scores with Malcom and his team.

Xan - The leader of Team Legend. His skills are known by many, and his abilities are conquered by few. He participates in the tournament to test Malcom's ability.

Chaff - He was a well known and experienced marine in the Chohar solar system. He fights along side Xan in hopes to see some skillful competitors

Blake - He has participated in the previous tournament, but he lost to no other than Brock. Even though this defeat was an embarrasment, he just wants to participate in the next tournament to catch up on a few things he missed.

Monsters: a few custome chaos monsters.

Craft: a demon witch who is adept at casting spells. Spells include Poison Mist, Electro Storm, and the Icicle Missile.

Demon Lurker: a stealthy mothe.. err.. yeah. This creature can crawl on walls, ceilings, practically anything. These creatures will try to attack you from behind, so watch your back.

Zombie: the only way to kill these guys is to shoot their heads or blow them into pieces. Nuff said

Sky Ghost: a dragon like creature. The body is transperant and hard to notice in some areas of the sky. The Sky Ghost is capable of breathing acidic breathe that will eat any gun equipped.

Reaper: The grim reaper at it's basics. This skeletal being will chase you around with his scythe clawing and slicing at you. Be careful or you might lose your head.

Sin: Much like the grim reaper, but these guys fly in the air and use giant scissors. If you want to keep your limbs, I suggest the Chaos ShotGun.

Masked Murderer: a raging axe demon running around screaming "I'm going to kill you!". sadly the only way to kill this creature is to destroy the mask placed on his head. (He basically looks like jason but a hell of alot more creepier).

Creature from the Beyond: Spectral ghosts that are only subjectable to beam weapons, everything else will just pass right through them. These things feed off of the spiritual energy of other creatures. Basically these guys are soul eating pests.

Thats the end of my idea. Like i said, this was just for fun so don't take it seriously if you guys don't want to. If you guys would like to use this idea, I could come up with some concept art for the weapons. I'll be adding more later.

All of them are quite nice,but some like this one doesnt quite fit into the futuristic universe,in which i guess the bee's are extinct judging by the thing that the UT world is so industrial(atleast the peek's you get at it)

haha, classic. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Here's a few more ideas.

Gear:

Body Armor: Created from titanium fibres. This piece of armor will reduce the damage taken by the upper body and torso by 50%. Armor usually lasts for 100 points.

Knee Pads: Created by the same fibres as the body armor, these will reduce damage taken by the legs by 50%. Pad lifespan will usually last 50 points.

Helmet: Created out of special fibre glass. The helmet will last 50 points and prevent head shot kills until the Helmet wears out. While wearing the helmet, you will see a type of glass window, indicating you are wearing the helmet.

NOTE: for these 3 pieces of armor, when the armor durability reaches 0, the piece of equipment will shatter into several pieces.

Chaos Goggles: Goggles that will display the location of visible targets by highlighting them with a box around the target. While the goggles are active, the vision of the user will turn blue and display a mini hud showing the stats of the target that is aligned with the user's cursor. (much how the creators of metroid prime designed the visors for samus). Goggles support two modes; night vision and scan. Night Vision will simply turn your vision green but eliminating all shadows, while the Scan mode will turn the user's vision blue and locating enemy targets. Modes can be toggled with the [toggle vision] key. Press it once for scan, once more for night vision, once again for normal vision.

Hyper Boots: Boots that are designed to reduce momentum and friction. Therefore these boots will make you run/walk faster but you will slide alittle bit when trying to stop. Batteries will last 20 seconds before they die out. Boots can be turned toggled on or off with the [toggle boots] key.

Plasma Shields: This piece of equipment can only be wielded with light weapons such as the Chaos Enforcer or UT assualt rifle. The Plasma shield will prevent any non exploding projectile from touching you, but has a small life span. If tempered with constantly, the plasma shield will break. (This basically looks like shields that you strap onto your left arm). The consequence for the shield breaking while you are holding it is a small plasma shock that will stun you however, you can throw the shield away before that happens with a [throw shield] key.

Weapons:

Dispersion Rifle: Weapons that were seized during a raid on an unknown alien ship. These weapons are of unknown origin and no one currently knows how these were built. The only thing we know is that the power core, the source of the ammunition lasts forever, and the rifle will over heat when fired repetitively. The rifle sports 2 functions; 1 is a rapid fire mode that shoots energy projectiles at it's target, the second function is a charge up shot that fires 1 massive projectile that explodes upon contact. If you keep firing while the gun is over heating, the weapon will explode and will kill you. The military decided to test and examine these weapons by placing them in the tournemants. No one knows what prolonged exposure to these weapons could cause.

Meteor Turret/Painter: Usually found on onslaught levels. A player can set up a turret that has the capability of launching large explosives. The pick up includes a Meteor painter. The Painter will allow you to target objects far away from the Meteor Turret. The projectile looks similar to what catapults fire, but with multiple explosions at the end.

Grapple Gun: No offense but I thought that a grapple hook that came out of a player's torso looked kind of strange. I think that making the Grapple fire out of a gun would look much more settle. I think that when the grapple hooked onto a car, the player's model would look like a rag doll being dragged all over the place would look pretty hilarious. When hooked onto an enemy, the hook would become eletrified, toasting the enemy to a burnt crisp. A small battery at the bottom of the gun that will recharge over time makes this possible.

Easter Egg: if you grapple onto a corpse, you can throw it around using the look keys, or the mouse. Simply move the mouse in a circular motion and press fire when you have enough momentum. The body will fly off, damaging enemy targets in the way.

Gawd how I have wished for a mod that would give a player headshot protection even 2 shots would be fantastic.

Ultimate/Powerful Weapons:

Cerebral Detonator - A high-powered homing mini-atomic device that flies to an enemy's cerebral area of the body (their head). Once latched to the head of the victim err.. target, the device will extract the fluids of the brain. The device contains a chemical that is highly reactive to the internal fluids of the brain. If the chemical mixes with the fluid, the results are devastating. The secondary function allows you to lock onto a target to ensure that it follows your desired victim.

HPDW (heavy plasma dispersion weapon) - a heavy weapon capable of releasing large projectiles of energy. The projectiles will explode on contact. Firing rate is faster than most heavy weapons, but projectiles are effected by gravity. Secondary function allows you to shoot a projectile that will split into smaller missiles 1 second after releasing. This function is ideal for "rain" or "hail" attacking techniques.

Orb Launcher - like the vortex launcher, the orb launcher will release a ball that kills, however the projectile is different. The orb launcher releases a ball that floats in mid air, the ball basically releases pulses of energy in the form of explosive energy bursts. Unfortunately, the science team at the chaotic dreams weapons development facility has not perfected the capability to control the energy bursts, therefore dispersion is random and dangerous to both ends of the competition.

Mini Turret Kit - The kit is simply a small turret that can be placed anywhere. The kit comes with a seat attachment, a mini-gun attachment, and a body attachment. Once set up, the player can man the turret anywhere due to it's relatively small size. The turret also has unlimitied ammo ^_^.
