Surely you understand why they do it though. Artists have the power to influence people, so of course they are going to try to get people to do (in their opinion) good.

i dont rate eminem. i find it annoying how he continually whines about how crap his life is. its its crap, end it. save me having to hear about it.

My fav musicians are dead. Randy rhoads died in 1982 in flying accident. his music inspired me to play the guitar. Dimebag Darrell of pantera inspiried me to play my own style, and enjoy the power of guitar. he was brutally gunned down on stage in december, by a "fan".

i cant say that anyone else has had near as much influence on me than those two. Neither wrote political songs,nor would i listen if they did. politics is up to the individual. <ignore micheal moore, biased idiot>

just my veiws, no judging intended for fans of eminem, or rap music in general - each to their own.

Sorry, I realize that many dont like the musician that i was pointing out, and yes it was last year before the elections. I just wanted to share something that moved me. The thought that no matter what race, color, or creed, that we all come together as one army was moving to me. No matter what side of the coin you are on, the fact is that we all unite on one day (in the USA mind you) to chose a leader speaks volumes to me.
