Invasion seems fine with huge scores. It's part of any Invasion-style gametype. We need randomized monsters though.

Maybe a way to give an occasional monster a bonus, like extra health, a shield, or a special weapon. We can give them something to indicate they are special and maybe call them elites. So you'd have skeleton elites, ninja elites. Perhaps we can have a little particle effect to indicate thier status, like a little glow around thier head or something. Would save us the trouble of needing a whole new set of skins or models.

Or maybe, every so often, a monster spawns with a relic... Imagine, strength relic'd ninjas! Or an Imp with a shield!

No extra points would be needed, since you'd get thier relic when they die. And prevent relics from spawning normally, so players have to kill a relic'd monster to get them... Hmm this could be interesting.

i think the monsters could use a bit of polish,my thoughts

Skeleton:Single axe could be replaced by gargoyle or battle axe imo, single edged just doesnt fit a simple skeleton

Giants skeleton:A minor reskin to the hammer and making the hammer larger would do wonders, maybe a blue glow coming from the eyes to make him look a bit more like he is possessed by something evil?

Ninjas:Add a animation for throwing stars, maybe the ability to teleport to the vicinity of a player if he doesnt find one long enough..a minor reskin with added blood and ninja cloth wouldnt hurt

Chaos knights:Replace the swords with gargoyle axe's?

Imps:Flames to the tail and eye wouldnt hurt, make him look more evil

Gasman:When near death he could start a 5 sec animation, the gasman kinda explodes when it ends

All the weapons could have a bit of signs of blood and use added to them, minor reskins maybe, theese aint contestants in a tournament with fresh blades but hellspawns and walking dead

Played it, loved it, want some more of it!

it was lots of fun!, tkatk brings up some good ideas tho! And I dunno about the magnet style of attack, its almost like a gang-rape when they first spawn... maybe its cuz i was the only player and they all spawned in front of me, when there are multiple players do they spawn all over the map? does HH work with vehicle maps (ala VehicleInvasion)?

Another lil idea

Creature's,if they dont find any player On theyre spawn, will run to the nearest chaos lord,to make them group up in larger forces, centered around the leader(in this case CL)

Also every wave except the 1st(which can be considered as a scout force) has a Chaos lord with them(Further wave's have more than 1),Becouse attack force's should have someone to lead them

Giant skeletons should be replaced with walking suits of armor. THAT would be cool!

Or, at you could put rusted armor pieces on the skeletons, give the giant ones massive gargoyle axes, and have them fall apart when they die.

It would be tons of fun if you could allow players to knock limbs off them without killing them, or allowing them to fling their own arms at you. THAT would be funny!

It's possible. Whether we want to do it or not is another question. It would probably be alot of work. Still, if we are going to make new monster models at some point anyway (either for new monsters or as upgrades), it might be a good idea to design them to be dismemberable, like Rune pawns. Rune uses the same basic kind of skeletal animation that we use. Hmm, maybe I should post some code snippets for the coders to look at. Would be cool to break pieces off skeletons and have them keep coming. You'd have to pretty much take them apart to stop them.

How about an option for Invasion-style fighting with no respawns until the wave ends? Or could we combine it with Last Man Standing and have a lives system?

life system as an option, max score as an option and time limits. Then the game will be super customizable.

New monster weapon idea- Double Kamas! Basically they are scythes on a short handle sized to fit in the hand. Fast strikes and the likes are the main way they are used. anims would be similar to the daggers.

Actaully there is a boss monster setting in your INIs. We just dont have any to add yet but the idea is there :)

About life system...maybe. We wanted to get away from the limited lives you have in LMS/INV. What we can do it make it so you loose pts for dying. Thus people that rush and die a lot (like me) will have to work even harder....

I take back the thing about the life system: It is extremely hard to survive 2 Black Dukes with a bunch of imps and sharpshooters without heavy use of grapple, and the life system might encourage a lot of running, which is bad for spectating players.

EDIT: Imps parry too much. Their daggers are too big in relation to their bodies, and those bastards can do a lot of damage. The opposite is true for the Gargoyle and Giant skeleton. Their weapons are too small. Give the Gargoyle that unused axe.
