server crashes on start up

I installed this whole mod but I only want to use the Gravity Vortex for my invasion server. I want to install it as a mod but if I add the [Core.System]

ukx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Animations
ut2 = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Maps
uax = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Sounds
ini = UT2004\ChaosUT2\System
u = UT2004\ChaosUT2\System
usx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Static Meshes
utx = UT2004\ChaosUT2\Textures
ogg = UT2004\Music
int = UT2004\System

after I did that the server wouldn't restart. I have all the files in place for the system to the chaos folder everything is in place.

Logically I only want to have the Gravity Vortex cause I saw it in a UT2003 invasion server with the excessive mut. I guess theres no mutator out there that just allows you to have the Gravity Vortex??

I doubt its allowed,and the UT2003 server propably ripped the vortex out without permission(if you didnt have to download the whole pack of chaos atleast)

but im not 100% sure its like that

sorry for the trouble. And there is not a vortex only part of the mod. I am not sure why your server is crashing. Can you share the log when you try to run it? Also I am not 100% on those setttings in your core but I am at work so I can not reference it....

do we have permission to take that gun?? to make it a mutator by itself??

Chaos Team wants to keep all weapons and gametypes as part of the ChaosUT Package. We want people to know there is more to Chaos than just a few weapons, bells, and whistles. And by keeping the package as a whole, there is less maintenance and a stronger community.

There might be a way, however, to use the Worm2k4 mutator to swap in/out weapons, tho I never tested with Chaos.

Yeap Rythmix is correct. No plans to release anything seperate. And "Worm" like mutators should work ok with chaos to do what you need it to.

Although worm mutators will work with Chaos, we do not officially support the dissecting of our mod in that way. Don't expect any support from us if you screw something up with one of those things.
