I just downloaded the CUT 3.6 patch.

It is...

INCREDIBLE!!!

I dont know where to start! The relics, the mug2, Horde Hunters, Melee duel, the chaos bike, the Epic Bonus Pack vehicles...!!! :twisted:

Anyways, I just wanted to give a few more ideas:

1) Sniper zoom stops: Sort of... Can u have an option that makes the sniper rifle zoom stop, like in CUT99? Or at least stop at an FOV, which can be adjusted using the mouseweel, like in unreal 2?

2)A fourth ammo for the Claw 2: Spy-mines or Spynes. Primary fire is to lay a mine, which can stick to any surface like a sticky nade, secondary fire changes the view of the player to that of one of the laid mines mine. In Spyne-view, primary fire detonates the mine, secondary fire changes view back to player's. AWO changes the Spyne which is being viewed through. Change ammo changes the type of mine being used (Poison, Napalm, Blinding, Very high explosive). The claw 2 can use chaos grenades as ammo.

3)More control over the chaos bike???

4)More melee weps?

5)Customisable species stats: The idea of relics is one step closer to this - the ability to gain a special ability by scouring the map for a relic. Can there be a GUI which allows the user to edit his characters abilities out-of-game? different abilities are worth different amounts of points and a player has 20 points by default.

EG:

Vampirism > 10
Regen > 10
Shields > 10
Double Damage > 10
Vengence > 15
Invisiblility while not moving > 15
+1 agi/speed > 2
-1 agi/speed > -2
+1 strength > 2
-1 strength > -2

6)Excess adreneline: A player should be able to get upto 500 adreneline. However, combos can be activated at 100 adreneline. But for kicks, a bonus combo can be activated at 500 adreneline. This combo is called TRANSFORM. It changes the player, depending on the players species, into a super version of the player.

EG:

Robots > get wings and boosters for flight. can be controlled like raptors.
Nightmares > become hideous monsters that are very fast and can jump really high
Juggernaughts > become huge, extremely strong creatures (The Hulk???)
Gen-mo-kai > become Tosc???
Skaarj > are super fast and able to block/dodge any projectiles
Humans > Do triple damage with all weps

7)Instahit grappling hooks that do not damage other players, but pull them towards the launcher a short distance. They still have the range/winding in time of a normal grappling hook.

Cant think of anyhing else now :D

oookay

1)Yup,would like that too(i almost never use the sniper lense right now,i get a different distance every time so it is kinda hard to adjust)
2)Advanced weapon option on a proxy,Lo and Behold
3)Would like that too
4)Claws and Staff on the way,dont care about melee myself
5)Noononono,Balance nightmare and other annoyances(UT2004RPG does it quite fine too,no need to emulate it)
6)Relics dump adrenaline,wouldnt make all that much sense to add combos,would it?
7)I would like to see hook drag in or follow the player until the wire is shot myself,but instahit would be overkill

About what TKATK said...

2) I know about the proxy AWO - I read the manual. I just thought that a really powerful, silent and immobile version of the proxy would be cool. Especially if it used special ammo. Maybe it could be invisible?

5) I've heard that a lot... What is UT2004RPG?

6) IDK... somehow I liked the adreneline concept better than the relic concept. I dont like having to search a map for a relic jsut to get vampirism or shields, etc. Guess im just lazy... :D

7) The grappling hook does not need to damage the enemy. maybe you could hae a timer on the hook so that when it hits a player, you cant deploy it immediately afterwards. But that timer souldnt count for hitting the rest of the map. Also, when the hook hits a player, it holds on for a short duration (3 seconds) before releasing them.

Some more suggestions...

1)KamiKazi vehicles!!! - self explanatory

2)CUT parachute??? the grappling hook and the grav belt are really good in tandem but there needs to be some type of parachute to slow down falling players in open areas. the grav belt simply reduces the acceleration of gravity on the player. the chute should be pick-up-able like the grav belt, with only one ammo. It should be player toggleable (key bind). Maybe the parachute could billow out into a large smiling proxy???

3)Boosters - allows a player to fly like a raptor/cicada, while using any wep.

There isn't an option with the hook that allows you to slide freely. If this was added, a player could fire the hook, trhrow themselves off a ledge, snipe, then reel themselves back up. Perhaps making the Hook key togle between holding you still and letting you slide freely, while holding the key down would pull you in.

Also, this mod should add special awrds (Headshot, etc.), such as "Hook Whore" or something similar.

There are special awards,try playing ChaosDM till the end

and how would hook whore be measured?

dont you mean shooting the hook,pressing hook button once,and then yo reel up with the hook up button,or do you mean something else

I mean that instead of reeleing you in or holding you a certain distance from where the hook landed, that you could also increase the distance between you and the hook, such as by jumping off a ledge then being able to hang in midair without having to fire the hook in midflight, or while being affected by gravity. For example, if you're hanging from the celing, you could lower yourself to the ground without having to de-activate the hook. Sorry if that's unclear.

And as for the awards, I mainly play Chaos Duel, sometimes Chaos Horde Hunter, hardly ever ChaosDM, so I didn't notice.

Maybe can always look to redo this.

Working on these both already :)

Not sure what changes other than a bendable grapple that is on the table...

Not a bad idea. But I feel we dont need that just yet. I fire the grapple at the ground and let it pull me in to slow my fall...so that "feature" of the grapple works as a "parachute" of sorts :)

the parachute mod auto-opens,and as such it renders some jumppads unusable,sooo its bad

IDEA:

New duel style:

Stance 1:
Primary fire - vertical swipe/slash/stab of weapon
Secondary fire - vertical block (blocks all horizontal attacks)

Stance 2:
Primary fire - horizontal swipe/slash/stab of weapon
Secondary fire - horizontal block (blocks all vertical attacks)

Stance 3:
Primary fire - weapon lunge/stab/poke
Secondary fire - rotationary block (weapon is twirled in front of player. Very weak but blocks any lunges, does minute damage if it touches another player, blocks projectiles??)

there is a parachute mod called chute u can download it here

then just unzip and read the readme.doc put the files into the specified folders but instaed of putting them in the UT2004 directory folder u put it in the ChaosUT2 directory which is in the UT2004 directory

that should work
