ideas for a new mod : Chaos FTM

Hi all
I had an idea for a new mod with monsters, a kind of invasion, played in "team" (like in HH, so it is not really a team), with a unique big monster and a unique wave. The match is played only with melee weapons and players may have a limited number of lives. The goal is to defeat the monster before it defeats you :lol:

I tried it in KOTH-Pyramid (cause it inspired me) ; I also placed a monster from the satore monster pack (ut2004) : the stone titan. I defeated him alone with my warhammer but I died 2 or 3 times before I killed him. What an indescribable savageness you know... Pretty fun to play with a few players (3 or 4, but not too much) but the monster should be more powerfull.

I dont know if the monster can be considered as the main objective concerning the bots and if this can be considered as an entire mod instead of a simple map, it could be called FTM-Pyramid (for this example). Guess what FTM means !
In any case I dont think it could be difficult to programm.
I know you ll told me we have to ask for authorization first...

Hi again and sorry for this double post ;)
I told the french community of unreal-design about my idea and I a lot of em found this is a great idea. Some of them realised models for some occasion...

I thought to you all for this supa cool Chaos mod, and we will soon work on this project using with your permission your melee system.
I am also asking the team members for their permission to use the melee technologie for our game type.
It will be a game type, probably we will call it Chaos FTM (or Chaos something, cause FTM means...hmm)

Great idea, if i saw this out one day id play it, There should also be the choice of Queens as well but somehow take off thier shield and reduce the amount of link projectiles so tis possible to kill them.

we need some ideas for the monsters, so if you have pictures of big creatures, just post it here, we need some inspiration !

I found several mappers and skinner/modeler who will help me, we need a coder for the mod ; it is a simple game type, I mean its no very difficult to make, even if I dont know how to do it :P

by the way, who can I contact for asking permission ? How many people ?

damn ! they may be big enough, but they dont look very agressiv do they
nice picture, but it doesnt correspond to CUT.
Maybe it can be a source for an enormous ogre armed with a huge warhammer, with a bit more clothes :lol:

I tell you something, if i saw that running towards me id get my shield gun out and hope to god the stabilizers can take the impact.

I'd get my deemer out. Vortex wouldn't help. Proxy army wouldn't help (King Proxy itself? Aye). Turret lauincher wouldn't help. On second thought *gets out his transloc*

Ugh, i wouldnt want to translocate, cause when you translocate you actually go inside thier bodies, and splatter them to bits, but if there that big then youll probably not have enough fat on you to break threw thier triple Fat gateua stomach and get stuck inside :P

Back in the old Invasion days, a friend of mine became quite adept at translocating warlords. Nothing was better than to watch him explode from the guts of a warlord, alien-style.

This could be a pretty cool idea actually, and it looks really easy to set up. But ideally we should have some custom made super-monsters for it.

I was talking about planting a few proxy mines, firemines, needlers, setting timed ion cannon and deemer, calling a ONS bomber and then... Getting away from the scene :P

Hey it is not for kidding ! We have already started ! we need your help guys ! For the moment we have 2 mappers (me and another guy) and I started to code the mod, but am a noob at coding.

NOBODY CAN TELL ME WHO I HAVE TO ASK FOR PERMISSION TO USE CHAOS CONTENT ? :evil:
