Hi all
I've just opened up a UT99 server running DM, CTF, Monster Hunt, Fragball, NIUT mod and good old chaos.
I'm using mapvote LA13 and was wondering if anyone in here uses it?
When switching to a CHAOS map from mapvote, teh map loads fine but appears to be missing some weapons. EG: the reedemer never changes to a turret or gravity vortex. I then check webadmin and see the chaos mutator is not loaded. If I restart the map from webadmin and manually add the chaos mutator, the extra weapons appear fine \o/
I have setup mapvote to use the chaos mutator but clearly it does not.
What a question!
Any ideas?

ps: Im running chasos GOTYE, not v1.1 as I could not get people to connect with that version>>critical errors etc.
I had to take out ServerPackages=Chaos.u as there is not such file in the GOTYE.

Hi, as Jb said it's been awhile since we dealt with the UT99 version, so sorry for being foggy. However, first things first.... It is never recommended to download a mod off of a game server. Please do not push the mod, instead have players download it 1st.
Having said that, redirect should work fine... IF waiting for a very long time to connect to the server, having to do it again in 30 days (unless you Properly move mod files from cache), and still not getting the GUI part of the mod is really what you want to do. We don't recommend it.
Ok.. having the server packages correct is important, but that may not be your issue with that mapvote program. If the server packages are missing, usually what happens is the host can see the Chaos stuff, but the clients can't.
Please double check your packages. Also, just fyi - here's a link to the server page of online CUT99 manual, just in case it helps.

I suppose it's possible that there is an issue with that map vote program. Do you know if anyone is using it successfully with Chaos and/or other mods? Is there a readme for the program that speaks of using it with mods? and so on...
Also, there should not be a problem with version 1.1, if you were having issues we can help with those too. My 1st guess would be you had some clients who were trying to connect with wrong version. Or who had installed incorrectly. For example, a common problem we had back then was for folks to try to patch up from GOTYE to 1.1, and that's not possible.

I removed Chaos from the server as people never voted for it.
Pity, I really enjoyed it, especially those dam posion arrows
Ah well.
I never got into 2k3 or 2k4.
Sure I tried it but if I'm honest, I'm still a UT fan.
I really hope 2k7 will be something better, but thats just an opinion.
