first of all, great job.
And the only thing I can think of (other than more everything :p) would be some sort of backwards attack. Not sure how feasible it is, but maybe if there is an enemy in the 90 degrees behind you the attack will be aimed backwards.
Example: You are looking for your enemy, you see him behind you, so you quickly do a thrust backwards (hard to aim obviously).
Probably not the most necessary thing, but would add both style and efficiency to the already amazing gametype.

what about a side to side over head swing like when your character does that sideways flip dodge it'd be cool to be able to swing while doing that. For reference you guys can use........ crap I don't have Prince of persia: sands of time anymore, I was gonna take a pic of how it looks like when you flip over someone and swing while over them.

I dont know if you guys remember a very old game (like 12years old) that was one-on-one sword fighter. The only way to get a decapitation was to do a specific 360 spinning weapon swing move that held the sword high and horizontal to neck height. Because the move took longer to pull off it had a better chance of being blocked, but if it landed you lost your head, and this was the only way to get a decapitation. This made it more special having a flashy 360 dedicated move, plus made a little more sense of the fact that it takes a build up of momentum and a specific weapon height and angle to cut a head off. I actually prefer that approach to the current melee one I like to describe as: "oops my sword bumped into your head and yer head fell off"

ps- IN that old game after you got a head chop the match ended and a funny little gremlin walks out from off screen and kicks the dead head thats lying on the ground, bouncing it off the screen with a funny bouncing sound effect. LOL

Hay Neo, flipping over someone while attacking is one of my favorite moves. I just am not usually very succesful with it.
It looks dif all the time. Depends on your weapon, and what changes we've made recently. hehe This was a POTW on our site awhile back showing me getting a headshot while flipping over someone with daggers.
And it's for that reason Bigfoot that I would not want to limit headshots toooo much. Certainly, we don't want you to "oops my sword bumped into your head and yer head fell off" , that's not good. But I would still like to have many, various, wonderful, artful ways to remove your skull. Not just one, or a few.
And Welcome to the forums Gundato! Thanks for the kind words.

Yea, look at deathball.
As soon as it stopped being less noob-friendly, the db community went downhill
Around the time of db1.4, there was over 30 different db clans that were active in the dbl(creating 3 leagues of US teams)
Now, there's 9 still active in the dbl

Bigfoot, would that 12 year old game happen to be called Barbarian?
I had alot of fun with that game on my C64... Me and my friends would play that like crazy.

Um, No, but The game Barbarian was a side scrolling adventure game right? - yeah I loved that game too.
I think the 1on1 sword fighting game I am referring to was called gladiator or swordsman or somthing. Unless Both games used the same name- which in the old days is possible.
