Ion cannon is only like 700 damage?

You would still need ~100 redeemers if you were using only them.

What happens when you throw the vortex in?

it warps the stones and buckles the wall... whatever damage it causes the players I guess...

Hey guys, look, a bunch of (jumpy) are coming... oh, I'm really (eeek) now...

The idea of destorying the base is pretty sweet.

well I know that in overload the goal as about 3000 hit point and it`s pretty easy to destroye so I figured since a castle is much bigger ( and the guns do more damage) it would need more hit point

Here's what I'd like to see remade;

http://www.hexenworld.com/siege/

I played some Hexenworld way back when, and those guys really had a lot going on. I played as a Paladin, with the sword, grapple, and crossbow. Kinda familiar. :wink:

But check out some of these quotes from the attackers and defenders strategies over there;
There is a (easy) way to stop the tunnelers from breaking the stone pillar and collapinsing the wall. simplay send someone in the tunnel and break wooden support beams on the sides of the tunnel. when u breeak them all the tunnel collapses and no further digging is possible :)
You must be a necromancer on D to do this. What you need: 30+ mana and one Icon of the Defender.
Step 1: Find an attacker
Step 2: Sheep him(or her)
Step 3: Jail it.

This "Sheep and Jail" manuver affectivaly puts the Attacker out of the game. Since it is a sheep, the likelyhood of it being able to break out anytime soon is a slim one.
Jump up on the catapult, go to the center until it says "you're in control". You can easily aim it left or right. Also with someone feeding barrels to the catapult, the aimer can launch them with the fire key. Cool
And it goes on about dealing with the moat, climbing walls, taming the weretigers, and more.

That killer mod, redone in a Chaos way, in UT2003, and/or UT2004, would consume me.

The life of the castle or base should be a setable option.

if there's pri, alt and alt2, how is there a sniper mode like the first chaos?

The alt1 is just a normal sniper scope. The alt2 sacrifices clarity for the ability to see through walls

The ability to see through walls, with the railgun and sniper rifle, adds some new dynamics to the game. Say I wanted to play without that ability though. Will there be some walls that can't be seen through, maybe a mutator to turn off seeing through walls? Or is the only way to accomplish that to not include those weapons in making my own maps?

Right now you cannot see through walls with the railgun, and since it can shoot through walls if you could it would be horribly unbalancing.

The ability to see through walls is optional (you can press the key to enable it or disable it), but it comes standard on the sniper rifle. So either you would have to not have the sniper or you would have to let people have that ability.

Note that when we say see through walls, it only draws a bounding box around the characters that would be in your field of vision. You are not in fact zooming through different layers of walls. This means that you dont know which player you are shooting at, and you cant hit them anyways unless you are a quickswitch and lucky with the railgun..

:idea: I think I found away around that... I use Yahoo messenger's voice ablity w/ my co-clan leader when we play so we can talk while we game. All I have 2 do is tell him 2 look at the wall w/ the Railgun and I zoom w/ the Sniper rifle when I shoot the wall thats when he shoots the area I shot and hopefully he'll kill the guy :wink:... so do you think that would work guys?

Wont work well i dont think if the person is moving, and he would have to stand exactly where you stood and fire at the impact decal to hit the spot

Yah, but if you can pull off that kind of teamwork, and get it right, then you deserve the frag, and even a POTW if you can catch a shot of it.

Teamwork always takes the day.
