BO - The Big Cool Stick
Spear - Nice long range pointy bit does lots more damage than tha wood bit.
Ninjato
DaiKatana
Claws
Elbow Sword
Foot Spikes (some style of martial arts - would really love this)
Spear+halberd=with its long range it would be the ultimate unbalancment
daikatana=katana
ninjato=short katana
AFAIK Samurai Traditionally carried two Katana , one long and one short. One for outside (long) , and one for Inside (short)
I don't think a third would hurt.
Samurai carried a katana(long) and a wazikashi(short). The katana was always used for any type of battle or fighting and the wazikashi(short) was only used to disembowel themselves and commit suicide in order to preserve honor after a defeat in battle. The second sword needed to be short so they could easily thrust it into there stomach.
However a 2 sword style was developed by Miyamoto Mushashi but was not very prevalent in Japan. A dual sword style would be nice to complement the daggers however. Or a sword/sheild combo like the gladiators used. The sword would have short range and damage but would have great blocking with the sheild and quick attacks with the short sword.
YEah, the funny weapons sounds good.
Just another thought, but what if you had a weapon that was like a melee weapon, but could be changed into a ranged weapon or something?
Also, the Protoss PSI-blades were really cool, I used to love the zealots from Starcraft.
I was the created.
I crushed them in hatred.
I created, but not life.
I created death, destruction.
I thirst for the blood of my Enemy.
The silent, Ancient Enemy.

I've mentioned it several times, but this seems like a good place to bring it up again. One of my ideas features a Scimitar/Khopesh combo for the Egyptian characters. The Scimitar would be the primary weapon, while the Khopesh would be the shorter, quicker weapon mainly used for blocking or quick, but powerful stabs similar to the daggers. I think such a combo would be really cool, and something unique for chaos. But I would need to convince a modeller to create both of these weapons, and then we would probably need to create new animations for them as I doubt either the sword or dagger anims would be appropriate.

Duel 2? EDIT: you mean you use the static mesh of the weps? If so then I can do that.

how about a sword that, if you hit a wall at enough speed, would light on fire and have a burning effect? or an axe with an ice option but has limited ammo?( i.e MUG ice ammo.) it would be cool to give the weps some new effects. if you were shot with a CUTTER and you blocked it with your katana half of it would be cut off.
