Well MAC-ify it and it should work. Meaning I dont think the MAC OS supports a "shortcut" per say. Or they have their own version. Halprin, can you help?

OK JB i've made an alis or in "windows terms" a short cut but the problem is thuse i still cant start up the TC in the community page/mods !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what is going on? i suggest you have your mac guy take alook at this because i'm sure hes run into snags like this on his or her computer.
cd-key bug ?!

first of all:
Hi everybody !!!
second:
when i try to activate the chaos mutator (in the community menu of ut04) i am thrown out to windows and then a window pops up and says my cd key is invalid. i have bought ut so i got a "real" cd key.
my ut version is 3355 and the chaos version is 3.6.

Hmmm not sure. I had the same issue once way back. I re-installed UT2k4 and that fixed it. Maybe your manifiest.ini file got courrpted?

if i install ut again do i have to install the whole 25 gb of **** again ?

i just looked up the manifest.ini and i think there are all files of ut2k4 "registered", all textures, maps, etc..
ill just try to reinstall..

OK, teh Mac man is to teh rescue!
Jman, the community menu to start mods in UT2k4 does not work as of yet (atleast for Chaos). So the only way to start ChaosUT2 is through a command line in the Terminal or use my application that I made (which does the same thing actually but with a nice GUI). The alias thing will not work as we can not add on parameters onto aliases as Windows shortcuts can.
You can download my ChaosUT2 starter here:

So just open up that program and stuff and it should work as long as you have installed ChaosUT2 correctly. If you still are having problems, PM me.

um that was my bad i installed it wrong and well
opps...
i'll just try makin an alis of UT when i get home
