Hi... new to chaos , server probs !

Hi !
just downloaded cut umod 1.1 and mapp packs
installed all and went fine...
but i cant find any servers when i choose find internet games --> chaos ut tab ...
no servers updating ? .. only the usual dm servers and stuff ...

whats the prob ?

Only a few servers have it, but the ip of one (run by furrysound, see http://www.furrysound.net for more) is: 66.153.113.24:7777 if i remember.

On a slightly different tack... this forum is for the Quake 3 version of chaos, check the section of forums below this one for the UT version. The ip i gave you is found in this thread.

i think it may depend on the location of the user. i live in california and id look for cut servers and never find any...

It shouldn't matter where you are. I live in PA and see servers all over the world. I have noticed on occasion that the CUT tab is 'slow' to respond... I think its filtering through all the servers in the list, then checking their status before you see anything on screen...

it gets the entire list of 3000+ serveres and pings them all. you only see the servers when those specific ones respond to the ping. it takes some time to ping them all. It is possible to set up an alternate master which only tracks serveres running particular gametypes (as is done with jailbreak so the servers ping quickly), but i dont know if its worth the effort in this case.

from what i remember mych got it from someone else. try going to the jailbreak forums (from http://www.planetjailbreak.com and ask mychaeel about it, if you really want to change that.
