Though I have to be honest, I have been longing for a weapon to replace the AR, that does not shoot grenades.
I simply think it's too much having two 'nade launchers, and I think ours is better than the AR. So I would rather ditch their gun, and throw in one of ours. (with a server option perhaps)
Speaking of Chaos Weapons, should the ERDW do just five more damage (as of now it does 95 damage per ammo)? It shoots once every 2 seconds and the sniper rifle does 80 damage and shoots faster. Would it be possible to make the damage 100? Again, in arena mode does not "feel" right taking two hits to kill them and killing someone in one hit would make it feel more powerful.

it should be a one shot kills thing, because of the scarcity of ammo and length of reload

It was actually downgraded from 100 because it was so unbalanced since it could kill a player at starting health in one shot if it hit anywhere on their body. And it could do this six times before you needed to look for ammo.
Try using the secondary shot, its 180 or 190 damage. It will kill just about anyone that hasnt found a shield/health keg in one shot, but you only get 3 shots per reload.

The ERDW is glorious when it works, but I invariably find myself never actually using the weaker primary. The way I see it, I'd rather have 3 killer shots that live up to the fearsome reputation of this behemoth than 6 more half-hearted attempts. Maybe alt fire could change back to a heat scope and primary could become the current alt..?
try primary when you have your damage increased (i think bezerk may have a % increase, double damage does it too). It will do well over 100 then. Its also accurate at long range just like the sniper, but the ERDW shot travels faster as i remember (its nearly instant hit). Also, unless you are in 1v1, its likely someone else has taken a potshot or two at the player you are trying to kill, so 95 should be enough to kill.
I guess it could still be open for debate, but balance needs to be kept overall.
The problem with the heatscope, as said before, is balance. Especially in a small level with hallways. You could hit anyone anywhere in the map for a high damage killshot.

I appreciate the balance problem. Perhaps firing through walls could decrease the accuracy of or even slow down the projectile? Or maybe players who are being targeted could receive a warning (in the same way as 'Missile Lock' used to flash up on all those old flight sims).
I think that if a heatscope was implemented, that it'd be best to keeps the visibility range fairly low. It only makes sense, and would help with balancing. Then, the primary fire could be what was secondary, and it could only hold 3 ammo... Of course, I havent used the erdw much, seeing as it's too large for me to download.
I know--I've played it. My internet connection cuts out after about 4 hours, and the overall download takes 4.5, roughly, as I have discovered. Yeah, my friend has boradband, and I am left in the dark age.
