The Gasman Series

Post by R.Flagg »

Not comparing my screen abilities to the painting of Monet, but in 1883 he settled in to spend a few years looking at weeds in the water.

Merely inspired by this, I'm thinking of beginning the 'Gasman Series'.

just an assortment of abstract views, all showing my friend once again being schooled in the art of the frag

but you can't rush art. there will be no set schedule for the addition of pieces to the collection.

Haha, very amusing. I find that second frag a bit suspect though. How could you pick him off, from that far away, through the water, without a scope?

haw,

you see as the coder I have put into the code a statment that if playername = Gasman then player headsize x2

Thus Jeff's head is x2 normal size. Doh sorry Mark I let the cat out of the bag :)

Hehe, yeah, I would too, if it wasn't me!

Actually, it's easy if your target is not moving! hehe
if playername = Gasman then player headsize x2
Haha! Headsize x2

We should just start calling him that. As in "Hi Headsize x2, how's it going?"

Maybe someone could do a mutator similiar to FatBoy, but instead of getting fat for every frag your head is getting fat for every headshot ;)

If R Flagg's so darn good, why doesn't he play for prize money? If he's as good as you guys say, he'd be rich in months.

Ya man, you're the coolest programmer I've ever met, R_Flagg.
Did you vote my poll (Which skill do you have?), too?
I wouldn't wonder if you're the one which entered "Godlike" , don't you?
Ohhh, sh*t! I'll have to learn a lot to fight you! My skill is between "skilled"
and "masterful" because I cannot handle well with some weapons (espe-
cially with the Ripper) and because I cannot strafe! But if I gain the
"UT-feeling" I become a real killer and I don't wonder when I rip my
enemies with the flak cannon (one of best weapons I can handle) or
blow serially their heads away with the sniper rifle or get this:

"Rampage is unstoppable"

half a minute later

" Rampage is Godlike"

10 seconds later

" MO N S T E R K I L L ! ! !

But after my brain damage is healed (6 month later I hope)
then I'll train really - and one year later you'll see another Rampage/Bruce
!!!!!!!!1
So be warned

Hehe, it's nice to have friends. Thanks guys

But Bruce, thanks for the kind words, but I must correct you Sir. I am not a programmer. I am merely a tester for the mod, and maybe some ideas contributed here and there. I wear a blue shirt, and use the door in back!

Our programming has been done in the past by Frederico, who has moved on (though he may stop in and say Hello sometimes), and is currently done by Jb.

And they are both very good.

And to answer your question, nah, I usually play on Masterful, or Inhuman. Godlike bots I don't mind in melee fighting, it's their sniping that ends my rounds too quickly.

But about this;
If R Flagg's so darn good, why doesn't he play for prize money? If he's as good as you guys say, he'd be rich in months.
Hehe, if only. Even those winning tournaments aren't rich in months. Would be nice though.

Sure, I don't mind bragging that I've played too much, and I usually do Ok. But please, there are better players than I right here in the Chaos community. And there are a few members of my beloved Moo Clan who I learn from as well. ( little tip from your Uncle Randy, don't always assume the guy on top of scoreboard is the one holdin' all the Aces. 8O )

But yea baby! Bring it! I would like very much an opportunity to play skilled players in a LAN environment. Years ago, I had a few nights at a friends house. It was maybe 9 or 10 of us, 2 or 3 guys at a time playing one of the Dooms, and that classy Mr. Nukem. But, to be honest, after awhile they got tired of losing, and I got tired of holding back. They went back to strategy games, and I got Heretic, or Quake, or some FPS, I forget. (and ayup, I looove to talk about myself, I could go all day!)

Bottom line, I have not the time(full time job 2 kids), nor the money(wife) to travel to LAN, or competition. But someday, somewhere, I'd love to have my own shot the brass ring.
