I been playing ChaosUT since it came with the GOTYe... basically, I said, "hey, what's this?" and as soon as I did, it was my new way to play ;) it's the main mod that runs on my LAN...

but, I've noticed a couple of things as CUT has progressed since GOTY...

1. the chaos sniper ricochet shots never seemed to line up with the scope crosshairs... they always pulled to the left a little... don't know if that was intentional, or if it's only me (and the guys on my LAN) experiencing this... we've all adapted to compensating for this, but sometimes in a heated battle, it throws us off...

2. ever since the first update after GOTY, the armor shards never replace the goo ammo anymore :( this is another one that I don't know if it is a bug on my end, or if it was intentional for "balance" reasons...

another thing I noticed was that CUT isn't "compatible" with some custom maps I've downloaded... the stuff just won't show up... usually, when it happens, it's just the crossbow ammo that won't show, but on a rare occasion, none of the chaos weapons work...

also, I've noticed that the bots love the CAS12... and they use it well... sometimes TOO well :evil: 8O :wink:

other than that stuff, it's a great mod and I look forward to seeing what you guys do in UT2k3 :) just wish old UT updates were gonna be coming... but we can't get everything ;)

Excellent feedback sir.

I've made a note of them, and I'll look into them during testing today, and bring them up in the beta forums.

Well, except for the custom maps part. Gonna have to let us know exactly which maps, and then maybe somebody will be able to figure out why.

This issue with custom maps I recognized it since beta 4 (i forgot it ;) hehe)...

Some of these maps where I missed one or all CUT weapons:

DM-Loxi][ - no chaos weapons, still standard weapons, all other features are working well

DM-Obsessive - No CAS12, only the minigun appears, but its ammo changes

DM-Nouveaux - The shock rifle doesn't change with crossbow, but the ammo does.

Maybe it has something to do that the map author placed the Unreal I equivalent weapons with its Unreal I name instead of the Unreal Tournament weapons. I don't know, I haven't any experience in mapping, was just a idea, I thought of, because DM-Loxi][ is a conversion of Unreal I DM-Loxi...

Actualy Deus, You prolly hit the nail right on the head.

If a mapper places an Unreal Item in an Unreal Tournament map the Game will automaticly convert it it its UT equil. THeese are custom maps, NO?
